[FOOD] Heard about this place all the way in Columbia. Decided to go check it out. Had the Philly sandwich and wife had a Rubin. Boy what a treat. The food was amazing and they had some of the best fries I have ever had in my life. They use some kind of panko coating I believe, and fry them long until they are super flavorful and crispy. They also had house sweet pickles which were super flavorful and delicious. [SERVICE] Excellent. Gentlemen was there just enough times to not be annoying and was very helpful. The staff there is great. [Bonus] The owner heard we where first time customers and gave us an entire container of their house muffins. Which I might add was delicious. There is a book store near there my wife likes to go too so we will go there and stop here for lunch every time now. EXCELLENT ESTABLISHMENT
This food was so good!! If I could have ordered one of everything off the menu, I would have! Guess that means I gotta go back so I can try all the other options . Service was awesome and personable. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
Awesome food, excellent service. Found this place a few years ago and finally made it back. Definitely a gem. Garry’s salad is a great combination. Wife had the chicken Marsala and I had herb crusted salmon. Both fantastic. Won’t wait so long to go back next time.
Best experience ever! 5* food and service. Cozy booths with very attentive staff. Amazing homemade cream of crab with sherry. Partner got the hand battered fresh Rockfish. Huge, delicate flakey inside. Wow Best mashed potatoes and tender tasty huge steaks and fresh veggies cooked to perfection. Wednesday night $7 burgers too! Take home famous homemade pumpkin muffins! See pics!
Service was great . Everyone was very friendly, fed 4 of our young kids and me and wifey , their food was on point ! I got a batch of Old / burnt soup . They acknowledged it right away and got me a fresh batch .then burnt my shrimp , no big deal they made that right and sent me with some Togo food . Matt keep checking to make sure we were good after that . Overall great family experience, will come back and try again. I’m
Had an early dinner a few days ago. The lemonade we ordered was bitter. My husband ordered onion rings and coconut shrimp. Both were extremely greasy and tasted as if the oil had not been changed recently. The dipping sauce for the shrimp had no flavor. He left the majority of the food on the plate. I ordered the Garry’s salad with grilled chicken. The chicken had a burned flavor, like the grill needed to be cleaned. This was, by far, one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.
Been going to Gary's for years, we feel like family here. Waitresses know our kids names and they make every conversation personable. Food is wonderful! Staff is awesome! Highly recommend.
Been going here since I was a kid. It has a local family feel that most diner/restaurants lack. They're pretty even all round. However, a gem that resides in the corner of a lovely neighborhood should not be overlooked. I hadn't been in a while since I've moved back. It's still has that panache. Lastly, but certainly not least. Make sure you grab their pumpkin muffins to go! They. will. Change. Your. Life. Vegetarian options: They have good options in salad and sandwiches for vegetarians. For entrées mostly one or two. I did get their Mediterranean Mushroom entrées. It was delicious and just enough with an appetizer. I don't like to waste or over eat. This entrée checked the boxes! Parking: Standard parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot has a handicap ramp, and the store front doesn't have a step up to enters o that should suffice. However, the entrance isn't huge so it may feel a bit snug with a wheelchair.
Food is always great. The wait staff are obviously stressed and the man behind the counter is aggressive and often outright rude. He must feel he can get away with it because the food is good. Its a consistent issue. It keeps me away. Last night I went for carryout and the young man at the register was nervously under water and the big guy behind the counter remains overwhelmingly unwelcoming.
First of all, Destiny was a great server. The Chesapeake Mac and cheese had great taste but needed a little more tortellini. The meatloaf is complex and has a lot of ingredients mixed with the meat and the gravy is a little overwhelming for me personally. I like it simple. My wife got the Greek salmon and loved it. The Dreamsicle cheesecake was nice and tasty and presented well. We'll be back.
