Tonight was a very difficult night. My Father in Law passed about 6 hours ago. The hospice nurse had recommended a budget minded off cape cremation service. We completed the online forms and we’re waiting the 2 hours needed to pick up Dad. The driver of this discount service made the mistake of leaving his headpiece/phone on after my wife spoke to him. He was so disrespectful. My wife broke down at the mere thought of entrusting Dad to these animals. We cancelled the pickup and called Gately Funeral Services of Provincetown, MA. Jim said “I will be over in 20 minutes”. Gately was a little more money, but service, warmth, and respect are a hallmark of this community based funeral service. Jim and Christos were absolute gentlemen. They picked Dad up at close to midnight in the middle of a snowstorm with hardly any notice. We are so thankful for the both of you. The slight increase in cost provided a "peace of mind" that cannot be measured. If you demand dignity for your loved one, - you need to call Gately’s. Thank you Jim and Christos. You saved the day and will allow us to sleep knowing that Dad is “ok”.
