We were on a road trip and stopped in Yuma for lunch. We have only been to Yuma to get a quick bite to eat or get gas. We decided to drop by this park just to walk around before a long drive home. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to see the Colorado River view. There was a playground and picnic tables. There was a large group of young adults swimming and jumping off a rope by the bridge. Looks like a fun place to hang out and it’s free.
This park was so much fun. There are miles of trails along the river and plenty of places to sit and hang out. We have an amazing day here! They also have pavilions for families to hang out and a couple different play grounds.
This park is big. Loved being able to walk along the Colorado River and watching trains go through the bridge. The have a nice play area for the kids, and dogs are welcomed. We happened to stumble upon Art In the Park, and it was amazing! They only had one set of restrooms, and there wasn't any toilet paper.
Beautiful park on the shores of the Colorado River. Nestled underneath the Ocean to Ocean Bridge which links California and Arizona. The sand from Gateway Park was transported from San Diego to give the shores that beach feel.
Beautiful park! Is kept very clean. Nice walkways, and lots of shaded parking. Swimming beach is very popular with families during the summer.
Great park for getaways from the city to swim, tube, hike, even cliff jump.
Great place to get out of the heat and play in the water with shade. We really had a great time. It was pretty clean. We got there at 12pm and found parking easily. Cars were circling when we left at 3pm. The current wasn't too bad and we were able to float down the river and walk back in the water against the current without too much a hard time. We will definitely be back.
Great park to have a little picnic with the family. I love the views of the Colorado river, and the old prison. We even had some action while sitting there eating lunch. A tractor-trailer caught fire and we were able to witness the entire thing even an explosion.
I love this park and East Wetlands. you can even learn a little Yuma history here. I walk my dogs there almost every day. Today I was going to head east from riverside parkEast Wetlandsbut a woman who was passing me said she seen a rattlesnake on the path. I headed west.
Beautiful park, spacious, scooters to ride, and plenty for little kids to do. Playground: Nice park for little kids, including the swings:
