My experience with Gateway has been a very positive one. I have learned a lot in the last week about what your choices are when a pet crosses over the Rainbow Bridge. I had no idea the services available regarding the aftercare of losing a pet. They took great aftercare of my dog, and the choices I made. She was received back in a beautiful package a week later and I’m so happy to have her home. I will use them again in the future and have and will recommend them to others.
After losing my beloved Tasha after 14.5 years, I entrusted Gateway with her remains to cremate and create a beautiful custom ceramic urn of her. Even though it was going to take additional time to do this, I believed that it was worth it for my sweet girl. When I received the call from my veterinarian's office that my package was there for pick up, I was sad but excited to have her home. I was not disappointed. Tasha's remains came back to me beautifully packaged and the custom urn came out perfect. she was transformed back to a puppy with wings. The cremation certificate is a nice touch. I love it so much and will cherish it always. I highly recommend Gateway to anyone who has lost a pet and would like to honour them in a beautiful way to cherish forever. Thank you!!!
I lost my beloved Oreo suddenly on December 20th. He was 16, but with me for 14 of those years. So he was a very huge part of our family. The loss is still being felt like it was yesterday. Gateway was suggested by the emergency vet I took Oreo to. It's such a huge decision to trust your fur baby with a pet memorial service. I wondered, and am hoping, that I truly got my baby back. Oreo came home today. His cedar box was inside a beautiful velvet pouch, and his actual ashes are in a silk bag. It was touching to see causing a meltdown while I sat in my car. I really hope it's him in there. Thank you for the care that appears to have gone into preparing him to come home.
I have always defended gateway even when I have gotten far below standard products or service because of the type of work they do but at this point I can't ignore the red flags anymore. I had two pets pass away in the matter of 5 months last year. Gateway was nice enough to cremate one of my exotic and unusual pets in which I feel most places would decline. So thank you. But I received the silver pendant. It is about $200. It broke due to no fault of my own after 27 days of wear and I lost some of my pets ashes. One of the representatives didn't get back to me and the other was amazing. It still took a while to get sorted. They did refund the product and my $20 identical one I bought off Amazon is amazing and way better quality. I also got a photo box urn which is 200+ on top of the 300 cremation fee. I noticed it was poorly made with some nicks but ignored the defects because it was exactly the type of urn I wanted. I now have my second pets urn back. Same photo box and after taking off the protective film on the plastic photo cover, it's very clearly scratched and very uneven. Prices don't match quality is one problem but the lack of care for a product that contains cremation ashes of a loved one is another level of low. I'm done defending gateway, I've tried to be nice but there is no excuse for me spending $1600 last year and have an issue with the quality of every since product I got back. I will say that the customer service is always beyond nice and easy to get a hold of. They even contacted me for more details on my bunnies paw prints which was not expected but above and beyond. Update: went down to one star..got my very last order from them. I have about 5 paw print moulds from them and they are all the same size and same species. Today I got two moulds back. One of them is 1/5 the size. I have no idea why they would change this up. The lack of consistency is ridiculous and now me trying to display them is going to look stupid with one that's not like the others in size. Oh also $30 for a small one inch shaving of fur just proves you don't care about people's pets. That's insane. And it's just thrown into a tiny piece of plastic. What am I supposed to do with it.....
The people on the phone sound caring and compassionate but I think the people doing the paw prints are cheating and lying to clients. I received paw prints back for one of my cats and it looks nothing like her actual paw print that I took myself. I'm also not convinced that the ashes are really hers. It's sad to feel this way and I pray that companies like this would never do anything so evil like this but I'm just not convinced that these belong to my cat. Anyone else feel this way?
Excellent way of remembering your late pet. Ginger was always my first living creature when I would get up early morning. The pahnflet said I you have any concerns to contact them. I have sent 3 emails and they have not been answered. I'm still at a loss of words for dear Ginger.
Our beloved Tango passed away on Monday Sept.5, 2022 at Campus Estate Animal Hospital. I decided to have him cremated to bring him home to be with us. Gateway Pet Memorial Service is the one I trust. With Tango's ashes wrap around a beautiful blue velvet bag and a sympathy card with Tango's paw prints. I would like to say Thank You for taking such good care of him.
We have paid well over $2000 in the last 6 weeks to the Animal Hospital of Cambridge only to have to put our dog Oreo down and have him placed into Gateways profiting hands. Oreo was our dog but Oreo was more importantly, our family. We are heart broken and our home feels like no longer a home without him here with us. We saw what Gateway had to offer as memorial "gifts" so we decided to go with Oreo's paw print on a stone idea. It costs $90 for this and we are more than happy to have this done as a memorial for our little boy. We also asked if we could have a simple paw print done on a piece of paper, nothing special just ink and paper as we would like to get a tattoo of Oreo done. We've been trying to do this with Oreo for the last few weeks but his cancer had been making that impossible as he could not stay still. So we asked for this along with the stone we were happily paying for, until they told us it would be $50.00 to dip Oreo's paw in ink and press it on a piece of paper. Nothing fancy, just his paw print on a $0.05 sheet of paper using $0.02 worth of ink. Our family is heart broken and these criminals want to charge SEVERAL HUNDRED times more than what this is worth to make our broken family happy? We are absolutely disgusted by Gateway Pet Memorial and these people not only don't care about the families dealing with grief of losing a member of their family but they don't care about the animals they are using to profit from. If you're dealing with an animal in your family like us that has a short amount of time left make sure you don't make the same mistake, avoid the heartbreak these people will cause. Unprofessional on the phone and uncompassionate for your family and the pain we are dealing with. Gateway Pet Memorial are crooks!
Sadly we lost our rottie Mocha at 11 months of age, from heart issues. Gateway did a BEAUTIFUL job of sending her back to us, you can tell they genuinely care. They send a grief pamphlet and a sorry for your loss, confirmation of cremation little card. Mocha was in a beautiful velour bag and inside that a soft blue bag and then a clear bag with a gold ribbon that tied the clear bag, i kept her in it inside her cremation box because it was too beautiful not to. Thank you so much Gateway for making an extremely difficult, heartwrenching time in our life a little more peaceful. We have three other dogs and will be using Gateway for all of them.
The team at Gateways Memorial was incredibly professional and compassionate through the entire process of selecting the aftercare for my beloved cat. Via email and on the phone, they answered my questions, I never felt hurried, and it felt like they genuinely cared for the service and the pets they process. Further to this, I was so moved by the delivery of the items, all being carefully boxed and the care taken to complete all of my little requests and choices I had made with my memorial items. I hope you never have to use their services, but if and when you do, you and your pet will be cared for.
