Such an interesting experience so close to town. It was a fun break away to enjoy some nature and see the elks enjoying the land.
It was awesome to see the Elk and Deer . They are beautiful. BEST TIME to Come to see them is around 6pm to 9pm !

Always enjoy seeing the elk, and make it a point to stop every trip to gaylord. Must see for yourself. So cool!
A must-see if you haven't had much exposure to elk before. There is a cart with food to bring them near the fence line so you can get fairly close to the wild herd. There is a nearby business, but the park itself has no amenities.
Came up to the park in October to see the beautiful antler racks on the bull elk. Did not disappoint! The bugles were loud and testosterone was abundant. September and October are the prime times to see the elk with the best antlers!
I don't know if there is certain times the elk are around but the first 2 times I visited I only saw one or two far away. This time we got to see many very close up and little further away. Lots of babies! Very cool spot to take a quick stop at.
Cute little roadside park. Elk sights are hit or miss depending on where they are in the park.
It was so incredible to be so close to such magnificent animals! I plan to visit every time I am in the area!
