Medicare & Medicaid Healthcare Accounting and Reporting
At Gene Veillon & Associates, LLC, we assist many different providers that participate in the Medicare and/or Medicaid programs. We offer a full line of services that are especially designed for this unique industry. Some of these services include cost reporting, consulting, and budget/cost analyzing procedures. GVA can provide a wide range of services including bookkeeping, accounts payable and payroll processing, check writing, deposit and bank reconciliation, and much more. Many other businesses have a full-time, in-house accountant or bookkeeper need, but cannot afford, a Controller or CFO. At GVA, we can provide you with either or both of these services.

Our clients operate knowing that their accounting records and financial reports are being maintained by a team of experienced professionals without bearing the cost of having a full-time employee on their payroll.

Our Professionals
Our professionals have a depth of experience ranging from ten years to over twenty years. As a local firm, GVA has been able to maintain continuity in staff not ordinarily seen in public accounting.
Gene has over 20 years of experience and many of our staff members have on average over 10 years both in public accounting and financial roles in private industry. With the extensive experience of our staff, our approach focuses on early identification and resolution of issues and frequent communication with our clients to ensure we all continue to work towards the same goal. All of our clients receive close, personal attention from our partners and staff.
Gene Veillon, Jr. has over twenty years of experience in working with freestanding healthcare agencies, as well as preparing financial statements and tax returns, and providing tax and small business consulting and controllership services. He started his accounting career as Controller for a New Orleans based home health agency where he supervised the account and billing staff, monitored internal controls, produced financial reports and reported to the Board of Directors on the agency’s financial status. Gene spent several years working in the healthcare tax and accounting department of a large local CPA firm before starting his own practice in 2000.
Gene received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1992 where he graduated cum laude. While attending Southeastern, Gene was a member of Gamma Beta Phi, a national honor society, Beta Alpha Psi, an accounting honor society and Omicron Delta Epsilon, an economics honor society.
