This plumbing supplies store has some of the most professional and knowledgeable staff members I have ever encountered. They take their time to listen to your needs, analyze the information, and find the correct supplies you need. Next time I need plumbing supplies, I will go directly to them.
We remodeled our 3 bathrooms with fixtures and hardware from General Plumbing Supply. Now, years later, a plastic part broke on the toilet flushing mechanism. They had the part, in stock, and gave me a discounted price.
We wanted to let General Plumbing know about the great service we received from your salesperson Mike. We ordered a new kitchen Pfister faucet from Lowe’s. We called American Plumbing to come out and install it for us. He was ready to hook up the diverter and noticed the clip that holds the diverter in place was missing. The installer didn’t have any clip that would work. We called American Plumbing and they suggested we call General Plumbing in Brentwood. We decided just to go to the Brentwood store. The sales person we met was Mike and we explained the problem and showed him the manual from the kitchen faucet. He tried looking up the part and they didn’t have anything in their inventory. He said he would look through their storage hoping he might find the clip that was missing; no such luck. Then he said that his dad worked at the store located in Walnut Creek and gave him a call and explained the problem. Mike said he remembered they did at one time have the part we needed. He asked his dad to look and sure enough, his dad found the diverted package with the clip we needed. He asked his dad to send it out on the truck that was bringing other stuff to the Brentwood store and it would be available between 4:30 and 5 and we could pick it up then. Mike went above and beyond to help us out and we are really, really grateful for his help. He’s the kind employee every business should have. Thanks again Mike. John and Claudette Bacher

I highly recommend this place! The staff is very patient and they take the time to help you find the correct parts for whatever you are working on. They are very easy to get a hold of and quick to call you back if they miss your call.

I went in for a quick question about a random piece I have been trying to hunt down. The guy at the front desk saw me walk in, and deliberately walked the opposite way down an aisle to avoid me. I waited, competely alone for a couple of minutes... and when he came back with stuff in his hand, he pointedly made me wait while he put them down, jotted a note down, checked his computer and only asked if he could help once it was painfully clear he would have to address me. I have NEVER been treated this way, made to feel this way in a place of business. This guy clearly judged me, and did not deem me important enough for him to waste his time. He even asked the manager Johnny? If he had heard of the thing I was looking for, in a sarcastic type tone. Based off this interaction, I will definitely not be returning for any reason.
I've been in quite a few plumbing supply stores. all over from San Jose down to Sacramento. By far the people who work here are the best.
