It is a small, practical and well guided airport Its website tracker is very practical Staff f is very friendly, helpful and professional. It’s not the best place for duty free shopping, but small restaurants and different shops are available. Remarkably clean all the time!
My experience here was just too many passengers cutting queue and passport control because they were on "last call". Only a couple was nice enough to ask if they could go ahead. The queue to scan luggage was also long. Pls come earlier to avoid running like mad.
This airport serves as a hub to several other cities in Europe. It's a small airport, with several retail outlets. However the design of the retail outlets gives a feeling that all businesses are housed in a small area. The area for travellers to walk through the retail area is not very broad either. Inside the airport one can find McDonald's, Starbucks and other cafes and bars. Food is not exactly cheap but then that's the case at every airport. The toilets were clean, although they look gloomy and old. The airport is not exciting. It presents its facilities to travellers in a dull, gloomy, crammed up environment. The airport wifi does not seem to work. Would i like to travel through this airport in future ? Not if i could avoid it. Currency exchange machine and Atm machines are available. Ground handling seems good. Good service with no ambiguity. Baggage wrapping services are available. Children also have a little play area
Nice airport, very well connected by the Geneva airport train station. The train ride to Geneva station is approx 8 minutes and there are trains every 10-20 mins during the day. The airport has a lot of food and beverage choices including a food hall on the departure / Secuirty check area, on the land side. The have a full SBB service counter at the airport and the you could even send your luggage via them to another city, or address - checkout their website. They a few digital lockers, expensive but safe to leave you luggage behind for a short period. The Duty free shopping area is small. Security check is quick and efficient. Recommended…!
Very decent size good airport to get in to the closest cities Lausanne and of course Geneva, have plenty of attractions and lots to view, I suggest very strongly, love to use any inter connection too, must visit.
Geneva airport is probably one of the best airports in Europe. Its security screening is pretty fast took me less than 15 minutes to go through on a weekend and it has a great variety of shops and duty-free stores. The meditation room is a good place to rest and pray before your flight. One small thing that could be improved: offer EU electronic plugs. Not everyone travelling has Swiss adaptors.
Decent airport for departures and mediocre for landings. Lounges are relatively small but clean and comfortable and there are a limited range of shops around. Couldn’t find a pharmacy / general store which was quite disappointing. Other than that check-in and security were relatively fast and efficient.
Great airport but if you are arriving here, its hard to get connected to wifi. You can also get tpg Buses easily to go french side.
This is my local airport so I cannot avoid using it, but frankly, we could do better. Hand luggage security check area is badly conceived head straight for the fully automated one on the far right to avoid manual checks, electronic passport gates are only open when there is an employee sitting behind each gate eh, what is the point then???, and no matter how empty the airport is, they will always park you at the very end of their new aisle, requiring 15 minutes walking… Aircon doesn’t work on very hot days either . It is beyond me how such a rich area of the world can settle for such bad service
