I will definitely be going back. Must try everything. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with buffalo cheese on ciabatta roll they have old fashioned soda I haven't seen a " old keg premium butterscoth beer soda " IN FOR EVER they have old fashioned candy in glass jars. Porchini dry mushrooms $60 I think a pound. It does get busy at the lunch rush hour. Fully staffed had to wait even with 10 plus staff but that's ok the wait was worth it. I personally did feel a tiny bit claustrophobic and I struggle with anxiety but that doesn't stop me from exploring my town but I did feel a little bit anxiety attack coming on because lunch rush was so packed with people inside their store very crowded. This business has been apart of STOCKTON for over years. Best ciabatta roll I've ever had in my life and my husband said the don't control was the softest he's ever had as well. If you have the time in the morning to get there early and give yourself some time to look around their historic shop it's well worth it. If you want to get a sandwich for lunch I would recommend going before the lunch rush if you struggle with anxiety like I do.

All around great Fresh soft bread great deli sliced meat, sandwich must try.
Always an amazing experience and delicious food when visiting. Are smoked turkey and prosciutto is amazing
I love their breads n deli section. Been going often when in the area. When I use to work nearby I would get the fresh warm bread early in the morning w a tub of garlic butter or honey butter before work for breakfast. Then go back for sandwiches for Lunch and or dinner
My family's favorite way I prepare the french bread and baguettes for dinner is.. I slice the bread on a diagonal, place them on a baking sheet, generously spread melted butter on top and sprinkle with graded parmesan cheese I prefer the one in the green can. Place them under the broiler with the door slightly open and take out when the cheese is a melted, golden brown. YUMMY‼ Bonus: don't throw away the ends. Cut them up into small cubes, put them into desert cups, and serve them to your kids before dinner as Bread Nuggets. They love it, and it's like an amuse-bouche You can also add some flavorings, but my kids went for the plain bread. It's that good.
It's like a dream come true!! Fresh Genova bread available when I want it that's always at my local J and J Fruit Stand, Hughson, CA. If it is unfamiliar to you, give it a try. Tastes like Grandma's homemade bread.
The exterior and interior are a highlight due to the business being very old. Now to the food. The sandwiches are what I come for. Honestly just try any sandwich you want and find out if you like the mixup of meat or meats. I usually try something new everytime and its always very good. The deli meats taste fresh and pair well with the bread they provide.
So much mf meat.. they hook you up. Great sandwiches for $7.95
1st timer and so excited I noticed how Clean the Establishment is and recognized the Sandwich Artists attention to sanitation and food safety. All the Associates were so friendly and considerate to the fact it was my first time and I didn't know the flow of the store. But when you first walk in the sandwich request forms are on a counter to your immediate right. Fill it out and then take it to the deli station and wait in front of the meat saw. Sandwich artists will then ask if you've been helped and will take the paper. Make sure to ask your sandwich artist's name so you can pay well they make your sandwich. Then move down where the cash register is, pay and then wait.
