This place is a scam. They trick you into getting the unnecessary services. At my first visit I did not pay much for getting the teeth x-ray done, but they manipulated me to get the deep cleaning done, mentioning that insurance will cover it all, and had me book an appointment. On the cleaning day they showed me a bill of total $2300, and mentioned that insurance covers about $500 and I need to pay Out of pocket of $250 just for the teeth cleaning. After the payment, I only got the receipt for $250. Invoice is not transparent. The cleaning procedure was painful, even though they had numbed, they had to poke needles all over, which i was only expecting to be only couple of shots. I would never want go to this place for cleaning again. I should have read the review before picking this place. I hope others don't do the same mistake. Ask of a quote before you book an appointment. Its totally not worth $250.
This is a scam business, not a clinic. They will try to push you for a lot of expensive procedures you know you don’t need. When you decline, they will refuse to provide routine ones to you and the front desk white old lady, a racist Karen, will start yelling at you; I guess she feels like she just does not need to fake any more and can take her mask off. So do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this trashy place and trashy person all together. P.S., just went through some reviews below, and looks like I am not alone and no wonder the average rating is a pathetic 2.5. It seems their business model is: milking patients/customers via pushing, bullying and misleading.. I already said 'scam' at the beginning, didn't I
If there was a negative number, I’d pick that. My husband and I both have been struggling with their team with lingering billing issues which should have been resolved before March 2022, rather end of the year in 2021. Short Review: Terrible quality of dental service. Payment and Billing is a nightmare. Incorrect charges. Worst Admin Team. Details: I went in for a a filling and a routine cleanup in 2021. I suffered with pain for over 4 months, had to make 5-6 visits to adjust my cavity filling. I was incorrectly charged for certain treatments. Despite of bringing it to their attention within five minutes of walking out, resolving it has been a nightmare. They overcharged my husband for his treatments and kept sending us incorrect bills. After following up with their office manager for months, she assured us these issues would be taken care of by their team. After tens and tens of calls, emails, visits, they finally responded back in October 2022 stating that they offset our balances and that we didn’t owe them anything. Despite their reassurance, I recently received another bill dated 07/31/2023. I have emailed their manager, called them and talked with their team. I was told that the concerned team member was busy and that would get a call back in 1-2 business days on Aug 13, 2023. Their team and their manager never acknowledged or responded to any of our concerns. It’s been two weeks since. Resolutions are impossible to get. Save your self and find yourself a more professional dental practice that at least puts patient care as priority.
They insisted on me getting services I didn't need instead of just recommending good oral hygiene, I asked another dentist for a second opinion and they said that I did not need any of the special services they recommended I get like Perio Protect, they also scheduled me for another cleaning without even informing me claiming that it's necessary 1 month after a deep clean when I went to pick up the Perio protect they also failed to mention that the gel used for this product contains alcohol which I avoid for personal reasons. They also lost my paymentabout 700 dollars that I did through card and asked for a record from my end because they seemed to forget to update my record. The cleaning etc was fine but you shouldn't use your patients trust to scam them. Please consider some other practice.
Needed to be seen for an emergency appointment cracked tooth, and the Palo Alto location couldn't see me. Sunnyvale was able to fit me in later that day. Staff are very kind and caring. I normally have issues with numbing and general level of comfort, but the dentist and assistants were great and went the extra mile at every step in the process. Numbing gums, making sure my lips weren't chapping, giving me breaks while they prepped me for a temporary crown. Dr. Qazi was my dentist, and she was very calming and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. My recovery was lengthy, but that wasn't a matter of their care, just my own body being fussy. Getting the permanent crown in was fast and painless. April was the dental assistant for that appointment. I had lots of questions, and the assistant was great in taking her time answering me and talking me through the process. Ultimately: the crown matches the rest of my teeth in color, and the fit was well-tailored to fit me. It's a great bite, and the recovery for the permanent crown is much faster. Be aware: it is hard to get someone to answer when calling on the phone. They are understaffed at the front desk, so getting someone on the phone with you can be an issue. Also be prepared to wait 15 - 30 minutes after your appointment time to be brought back. But I think the wait is worthwhile if you have trouble in the dentist chair.
They cancelled an appointment for my son to reschedule because he was going to need to see their specialist. After a couple more weeks wait we showed up to the rescheduled appointment only to be told the specialist wasn’t in because it was close to the holidays. They wasted our time, and was only told Miranda a manager was in a meeting. I guess the low rating here is justified.
excited. I liked everything. service, speed. attitude in the clinic. Everything Yes, I was in line and waited a long time. but then they accepted me. I mean a doctor, and everyone did well. work quickly and efficiently. everything is clean, sterile, everyone is friendly. I recommend
Gentle Dental Sunnyvale continues to bill my 89 year old mother $187.50 for services that were not provided in 2022. I have tried to resolve this error in person and have two billing documents initialed by the desk clerk, S. Hall ?, dated 5/9/22 and 9/18/23, correcting the account balance and noting “Will take off today”. This dental office is not listed at all with Better Business Bureau, even as unaccredited.
The Sunnyvale office has no respect for my time. I had scheduled an appointment with Mohamed Khaled over fourteen days in advance. I am then called thirty-five minutes before the appointment because he was leaving early to fly to southern California. Earlier, they had called to ask me if I could come in at an earlier time, but at no point during that conversation was I informed that my appointment would have to be rescheduled if I could not come in earlier. I now have to wait an additional thirty-seven days for the next appointment. I did not learn that my appointment had been canceled until I was already on the way to the appointment.
Worst dental practice I have even been to. They charge for all unnecessary treatments. I went for a cleaning and the added all extra treatments which are not necessary and I had to pay $1064 out of pocket., $384 for my wife. Even I did wisdom tooth removal, for which they did lot of uncovered procedures according to my insurance. Ended up paying $899 dollars out of pocket. While mu insurance says I need to only pay $206. Avoid this place at any cost. They are stupid scammers. The lady doc there is just a waste, trying to impose unnecessary treatments.
