Shelly Mixson, DMD. Dentist Brookhaven, Buckhead and Chamblee. We are located in the Kroger Shopping Center (Cambridge Square Shopping Center).
Dr. Mixson has been in practice in the Brookhaven / Atlanta area for the past 15 years. She practices family, general, and cosmetic dentistry.
Growing up outside of Tallahassee, FL, she grew up cheering on the Florida State Seminoles. Later, she attended the University of Florida. She received her Bachelors of Science in nursing from the University of Florida in 1997. She has maintained split loyalty to both school ever since. After graduation she was a Registered Nurse prior to pursuing her dream of becoming a dentist. Improving her patients’ health has always been her passion.
She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida in 2001. She has post doctoral continued training at some of the most prestigious and respected dental centers in the world and industry: the Dawson Center (St. Petersburg, FL, the Frank Spears Institute (Scottsdale, AZ).
Dr. Mixson lives in Buckhead/Chastain park with husband and two children. Her spare time activities include running, swimming, hiking in the north Georgia mountains, and strolling around the local parks.
She has had the privilege to complete missionary work in South America with Flying Doctors of America.
