Beautiful museum and library that describes the life of George H W Bush right from his younger days to becoming President. The man played so many roles in life so there is a ton of memorabilia and history associated. The movie at the entrance is a must and describes how Bush 41 was a genuine soul and had endearing ideals. Very inspiring to learn more about him. His burial site is also nearby. Highly recommend visiting this place.
I think I've tried to visit about five times and I finally got in! Various closings and me not looking at their hours conspired against me. But on this beautiful spring day, I was able to visit. The inside and the outside gardens are fantastic. I think the gardens are now one of my favorites in Texas. The place is full of memorabilia and lays it out in a very interesting way. Often I go to a museum or other place and wonder why I felt like I could do better just looking at things online. In this case, it was much deeper, richer and more meaningful than most on-line, museums by prose that I have been to. I think I got a better understanding of George W and Barbara Bush and enjoyed the visit. Whether you are a rabid Bush fan or merely a passing history buff, this is definitely going to have something for you.
The George Herbert Walker Bush Presidential Library and Museum is a MUST SEE! A quite nostalgic journey through the life of "41" as his life's events entwined with those of my own family... He was a true public servant and a testimony to the Greatest Generation!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
Security metal detector check at entrance. The only bathroom on the right after entrance. Theater next to the bathroom. The documentary movie does not require ticket, starting every 30 mins duration 22 mins. Gallery may change overtime. Lots of great historical photographs. Fine tribute to our former President. Extensive memorabilia and history provided so you can appreciate the man and his life. Lots of parking available, easy access for mobility challenged. The facility has an informative movie as an introduction and then many exhibits on his legacy. Pleasant gift shop is available. Outdoor park area has impressive sculptures and grounds.
Loved the history here! Bring your kids! It's great for a day trip for homeschoolers, there's a no cost orientation video that gives a quick brief over his life. The museum area is great and there's SO MUCH! We spent almost 2 hrs here and there's several interactive areas for the kids. I had fun too! It's a very nice campus and all of the workers are so friendly and full of knowledge!

Haven't been here since I was a kid and had a great experience and learned alot. The presentations are very professional and engaging with some interactive displays. Make sure you make your way around the whole museum and head to the garden and gravesites behind the museum. One suggestion I have is simplifying the entry and ticket process. After going through security I was approached and explained everything before being sent to the ticket counter, then when you start heading into the museum you get stopped again and explained everything again. Maybe have part of the entrance roped off where you are sent straight to the ticket counter where they explain the in and outs of the museum so that traffic is easily guided through and you don't have to hear the same instructions multiple times. Having a wristband may be an easy way for employees can distinguish between who has and has not purchased tickets. Overall it was a great experience and I would gladly come back.
Beautiful museum filled with an overwhelming number of artifacts and information. My group spent 3+ hours here but it would take weeks to go through and read every individual item. Truly eye opening experience to see someone’s entire life/legacy in one building. All employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to give mini tours to explain certain exhibit areas. George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush accomplished so much more than you may think. Despite being a college student and many people my age don’t find these types of things that interesting, I found it fascinating with how in-depth everything was displayed.
