The Integrated Information, Science, and Technology program is an innovative and interdisciplinary program designed for community college graduates and working professionals who are seeking to complete their bachelor’s degree. The program provides the graduates with solid foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, writing and communication skills and information technology and computing skills to make them competitive for technical employment or advanced degree completion. Graduates can use their knowledge to be successful in a number fields including:
Information system
Technology management
Network administration and security
Health IT and informatics
The program is geared toward individuals who are currently working in a technical field, or those who are attempting to gain entry either as a career-changer or as a young professional seeking an entry-level position.
Developed by GW’s College of Professional Studies, this bachelor’s degree completion program is for an individual who currently holds an Associate’s Degree or has earned at least 60 credit hours towards their undergraduate degree.
The remaining 60 credit hours of study required for bachelor’s degree completion at GW, consist of 44 credit hours of core courses and 16 credit hours of elective courses. The program can be completed within two academic years (5 consecutive semesters, including a summer session).
Courses are scheduled with the needs of working professionals in mind and are offered during the evenings and weekends at our northern Virginia locations in Arlington and Ashburn.
The program is also specially developed to provide a conduit to existing GW Master’s degree program in Information Systems and Technology Management.
