Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service is a student-run ambulance organization that has provided rapid response, treatment, and transport to Georgetown University and the surrounding community since in 1982. GERMS provides emergency care 24/7, year-round, free of charge. GERMS responds to medical emergencies on the Georgetown University main campus as well as the neighborhoods of West Georgetown, Burleith, and Foxhall.
GERMS strives to ensure the health and safety of the Georgetown community through the voluntary provision of emergency medical care and the promotion of community preparedness.
