Ms. Priscilla Adams, Elaine Martin, and Jasmine in financial aid and student advisinghelped with making this experience great. This is the most affordable school, that accommodates my busy schedule. I had a hiccup in the road, but with the help of these ladies and their professionalism I can move forward with my second degree with the school !
It's been an actual nightmare of a process to get signed up for classes. First, they never sent me the email to sign up for a consultation, and then they never responded to my email asking about next steps. I had to call them to set up an appointment. When the time came for my appointment, I called 5 times with no answer, and then called the main office who said they'd get back to me. Shocker: they never did. I had to call AGAIN, and was given ANOTHER email to send to. Finally they answered, and it's been a ridiculous back and forth just to sign up for classes. This would have been so much easier if they would just call.
I can not shout it from the roof tops how much I LOVE the GMC Warner Robin's Campus. I graduated over the summer with two associates degrees and the staff was amazing. I was hired as a Student Ambassador and tutor and the environment morphed into a familiar family unit. The staff is engaged in the improvement of their students and the advancement of their education and career goals. I look forward to the programs they will bring to the community in the future as they expand their four year bachelor's programs.
Read all the bad reviews.. was hesitant but i always believe to give everyone an opportunity & hoping they have corrected the problem with their staff. NEW STUDENT, going for my 3rd degree at this school, i have been treated with PROFESSIONALISM and with ENTHUSIASM to help me through the whole process, so far staff have been helpful to get exactly what i need. im still waiting to get my academic advisor to get the classes i need, we shall see how the transition is handle. i have nothing bad to say about the school, im very THANKFUL the school offers weekends and a variety of classes after 5PM for those who work. only down side is that they stated they're open on Friday bus non of the campuses answer the phone. my best recommendation is to not call on Fridays other than that, im looking forward for this opportunity with them! i will update my review if anything changes! Im EXCITED :
Took classes two semesters here. Professors were excellent b+ student. STAFF in the financial aid office are absolutely horrible. paid out of pocket and financial services were fine as soon as I applied for student aid I wasn't able get my books until the forth week of class. Safe to assume I was behind, and no one in the financial aid office truly cared about helping a student who was in need. As students we don't know about financial aid all to well, so when we look for help they could try to actually help the student, and not make them feel stupid for not understand their job. IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING THIS SCHOOL PLEASE LOOK INTO MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE FIRST.
Professors have a genuine desire for you to understand the material very down to Earth. Class sizes are smaller and evening classes are available for nearly all core subjects. Semesters extend over a quarterly basis with the same amount of material as a traditional semester. Though that narrowed window of time may seem daunting- you know you would end up cramming last minute regardless of how long the semester is. They are fully accredited and have transfer agreements with other schools. As a nontraditional student, I LOVE the shortened semesters because I'm playing "catch up". If you're feeling unsure, just go for it. Talk to an advisor or other students and feel it out. FYI book rentals are included in your tuition. LOVE IT.
If you think you will get any help here, think again because the whole staff needs to take a few courses on professionalism because they are lacking pretty heavy in that field. You can't get any help here. I have literally called every office and left voicemails and no one has given me a call back. The financial aid office, administration office, even the library has a "lazy, don't want to be here" vibe. Get a new job if you hate the place so much and give it to people who actually have the qualities that most of you are lacking. The dean should be embarrassed.
GMC is an incredible school with full accreditation. The Professors are really great too. If anyone is on the fence about his school you should give it a shot for sure. I have and will continue to recommend this school.
Horrible I can get no help in my classes.... Then when I call I have to hang up and call back.... And when try to get help everyone acts like they don't know.....
