I don't understand why would anyone relocate their family to a state that doesn't even work for families?!?! I never heard of this before and there are fuller states such as California and New York and people move there and from Georgia quite often and get cases closed. I've been trying to get my case closed there in Georgia for weeks or a month after moving away to another state and it has been because no one answers phones anymore there. No one talks on the phones there anymore! So, you've been warned! I've tried getting the case closed BEFORE I left the state and relocated to the new state and found out the case is still open there in Georgia. Now, either the people in Georgia are retarded or evil. Both doesn't serve any purposes to life and constitutes to a miserable existence. So, I think the people in Georgia just like a miserable life and existence but there are better states to live than there. I wouldn't live there again and I was born and raised there, but I can't live there again.
So why does it say you can apply for Medicaid through the gateway website when it doesn’t even have the option any longer? Does not make any sense!
I’ve been on hold since august… seriously tho… this has been the most frustrating process.. and I’ve been on multiple Medicaid states over the years and ATL is the hardest process of them all.. You can’t reach anyone and your “case worker” never calls you or calls you back!
Omgahhhhh Georgia- do better for your community- this is a shame a great example of why I won’t ever live in Georgia again. They give you 2 numbers for THE STATE MEDICAID DEPT one doesn’t have vm set up, lmao- the other 800 number is in Vietnamese so happy I made it out of that state alive! Now they are trying to make fraudulent claims on my credit. At best this state program is definitely a scam- my real thought is this fraud. I’m letting the CFPB and my lawyer handle it- good job looking like a failure per usual with the level of shuck n jive per norm for Georgia
If I could give this a half a star I would. Everything was great when I first found out I was pregnant. They approved my application pretty quick. I’m 25 weeks now and I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for a month since I moved states. Everytime I call they say due to high call volumes they aren’t accepting any calls. I’m sick of them how am I supposed to go to my prenatal appointments!!!!!!
ZERO STARS. have been calling for 2 months and continually get "too many callers, please try again later, goodbye". I have spent countless hours on the phone leaving any connection a voicemail that has the option and nothing. I am currently a medicaid recipient in the state of Ohio and I have NEVER seen such a useless government office.
I am pregnant 3 months, and I’ve been calling to change my pregnancy information. Had to create a new portal on gateway, I’ve been calling the automated numbers no one is in contact with me. I am just completely disgusted, and of course ppl in that office excuse will be “well don’t use state benefits” but honestly that’s not how you run a business. In 10 years I’ve never heard of “pregnancy” insurance to get approved. I’m just appalled, I have no prenatal care. Work insurance portal closed for this year for me. I’m just flat out disappointed, disgusted, and hurt because now I’m trying to figure out what to do to get an OBGYN. But honestly I know you people don’t care, because it isn’t in your heart to care.
0 stars. As a former Mississippi resident, this is by far the worse government office I have ever been in contact with. Approved for food stamps for over a month, no card has been mailed, per employee "We added it to your card". We've lived here for 2 months, what card? The information on my case is incorrect for children's medical, cannot get the case worker, or any employee on the phone. The line always hangs up by the end of the call. Finally, received some kind of help after showing up in person. To be determined if this helped the issues I am having.
Worst agency ever. As a provider having been in the business of mental and behavioral health I can honestly say that medicaid doesn’t care about anyone not the providers servicing their community or the clients in need of service. In a world where 6 year olds have been bringing guns to school shooting their teachers the medicaid office has single handily taken away medicaid funding from hundreds of agencies in Atlanta causing them to go out of business, causing clients to be left with out services. Good luck Georgia if medicaid keeps giving hard working, dedicated providers this hard of a time to service such a vulnerable community the mass shooting and number of murders committed due to mental health issues is going to continue to sky rocket.
I have been waiting about 6 weeks not for my medicaid to be approved. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and haven't been able to see a doctor in 2 months since I found out I was pregnant. I left a voicemail because that's the only option it has and it tells me that someone will return my call in 24-48 hours. That was over a week ago. I've never waited this long for an approval. The only time I've used medicaid was when I just moved to a new state and when I was pregnant and unable to work. The last time I was pregnant was 7 years ago and it wasn't nothing like this. I also still haven't received a call regarding WIC from 6 weeks ago and there is no way to speak to someone there either.
