Founded in 1894, Gerold Moving was owned and operated by the Gerold family. Having incorporated in 1958 the sold te company to the Crawford family in the early 1960's. Gerold Moving now celebrates over 115 years of service in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. With the Crawford family now in the 3rd generation of service, the tradition of quality service continues to this day.

Very helpful people to work with, who really go the extra mile to get the job done at a great price. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the office staff at Gerold Moving because they were very thorough with my information and paperwork, and acted swiftly during my moving process. The movers who actually moved my things were quick, courteous, and most importantly careful with my home and belongings, which was extremely helpful because moving gives me the worst anxiety lol. Would definitely use again! Thanks for everything!
This is my second time using Gerold - first time was an upright piano, this time a large bedroom set. Both moves went very smoothly and quickly. Movers were very friendly and professional. I was very pleased with the service and price. They even helped move one of our armoires from room to room for us. Thanks for the great service!
Wow... the team we had were amazing. They made an 18k unload quick and enjoyable. They worked as a well oiled machine and processed the shipment with such ease. My wife and I were looking for a moving service to move this pass weekend12/16/17 After calling several companies we choose Gerold Moving. From the customer service to the actual move, it was just smooth sailing. There were three movers and it seemed like it was six.Very fast and professional. I do highly recommend their service.
It was a very difficult move, but Gerold Moving did a fine job. I have used them once before and they did a great job then. The team was polite and professional. Would recommend!
The absolute worst. I do not recommend anyone use them. We scheduled a move on March 9, 2018 that required a deposit, which we paid. The move was scheduled for March 26, 2018. I called the morning of March 26, 2018 and asked what was our expected arrival time. At that time, we were informed that we were not on the schedule to be moved. I informed them, we paid our deposit and yes scheduled our move. Mind you, we had to be moved by March 27, 2018 by 12:00 am. Long story short, they found the deposit; however, could not accommodate our move. Basically all we got was we're sorry and will reimburse your deposit. No sympathy or remorse for putting us in such a predicament.
The company it self isn’t bad the some of the employees definitely need to be replaced due to ooor customer service. Long story short I have delt with 4 of the employees throughout my experience Dana Collins , and Barney where extremely accommodating and very helpful. Al Cockridge was the complete opposite he is extremely rude and very disrespectful he talks to you any kind of way and thinks it’s okay . Also another lady in the office was working on something very important for my storage and was supposed to call me back she NEVER did . I had to call back and have someone else help me with it Dana Collins overall I would say they definitely need new management because they have really good workers and then they have other workers who should not work in any type of customer service environment.
I would not use this company again. I was quoted a price after the walk through was done. I paid for insurance as well. After the move was finished they came up with a new price of $50 more per hour. I refused to pay it! That was not the price I was quoted. They also damaged my dining room table, I turned in the claim and they refused to process the claim until I pay them an additional $400. I do plan on filing with BBB! Also filing a claim with the court system. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!
