Ghost Pepper Glass is a public glass studio created to provide a turn-key space for the most skilled artisan while inviting the most novice enthusiast. Founder, Katie Plunkard, has spent over a decade traveling the world, working in over a dozen different studios in nearly every capacity—learning, first hand, what works and what doesn’t. The culmination of those experiences seeks to provide a space that enables artists and craftspeople to create that which can only be made by hand.
At Ghost Pepper Glass, community is key. We recognize that nothing functions without the skilled glassmakers who can teach the classes, assist each other in making beautiful glassware and care for the equipment. For these professionals, a studio is their livelihood and they are the livelihood of the studio.
That said, we recognize that we all started somewhere (usually with a high percentage of broken pieces and the wonkiest of “successes”) so we welcome and encourage enthusiasts of all skill levels or lack thereof.
We will offer classes, studio rental, private lessons, workshops, private events, retail, studio tours and more. If you’re not sure where to start, just come by to check the place out when we open later this year, pet the studio dog, and watch us play with molten glass. We cannot promise you won't get hooked!
