Went in to purchase something in the liquor store along with one grocery item and was informed that they no longer allowed grocery purchases to be rung up in the liquor store, so I paid for my alcohol and left the liquor store. I was fine with that, so I went to wait in line for a cashier to ring up my single item. After waiting 15 minutes, I finally reached the register due to poor staffing. I had my liquor store purchase in my hand with the receipt, as well as a paid sticker clearly displayed. At no point was it on the belt yet somehow it was rung up along with my grocery purchase. I was double charged for the same 6 pack and it's been nothing but trouble trying to get my money back. Southgate Giant Eagle has serious competency issues with regards to management. Especially the front end and cash office.
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the quality of service and conditions at your store located in predominantly black communities. It is distressing to observe the lack of attention to vital aspects such as cleanliness, product quality, and customer experience in an area that deserves the same level of care and respect as any other community. Firstly, the disparities in your store's offerings are apparent. While you operate a liquor store, it is disheartening to note the substandard quality of your produce and the absence of organic products. This glaring absence of nutritious options directly affects the well-being of the community, particularly those who rely on local stores for their groceries due to transportation limitations. The absence of diverse, healthier options perpetuates a cycle of unhealthy living. Additionally, the state of your store's hygiene raises serious concerns. Reports of a lack of cleanliness, coupled with an inadequate number of cashiers, undermine the shopping experience for customers. A clean and organized store environment is crucial for promoting a positive shopping experience and fostering a sense of pride within the community. The pricing structure also warrants scrutiny. High prices for subpar products are not only detrimental to customers' budgets but also to the overall economic health of the community. The disproportionate financial burden placed on customers seeking essential goods further exacerbates existing inequalities. Moreover, it is disheartening to see such practices persisting in the modern age. Communities, especially minority communities, deserve equitable treatment, respect, and access to quality services and products. These practices perpetuate systemic inequalities and create a sense of helplessness among residents who are left with no choice but to accept these subpar conditions. I implore you to take immediate action to rectify these issues and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the community you serve. Investing in higher quality products, promoting cleanliness, expanding product variety, and implementing fair pricing strategies will contribute to rebuilding trust and fostering a positive relationship between your store and the community. I urge you to listen to the concerns of the community and to actively work towards making necessary improvements. It is my hope that your organization will recognize the importance of this matter and take concrete steps to provide the level of service and respect that all communities deserve.
Customer service is awesome everytime I go shopping at Giant Eagle.
Grocery Manager Mike doesn't know how to speak to people in a professional manner. I was a new vendor to the store and he never introduced himself to me before berating me about company orders which was due to a previous coworker as I was taking over the position. The following week, I made sure to order extra as requested and when I asked about the display he interrupted me, raised his voice, told me it was taken down and threatened to take down our other displays. He did this in front of customers and employees. If a simple question about a display gets this reaction I wonder how he treats others. He made sure to tell me he was the customer, which I guess allows him to disrespect others.
I went to Customer Service too early, and was told to come back at 11:00 So I went back, exactly at 11:00 amd the lights were still out in the Customer service department, and the young lady told me that the lady who runs the department is on her break. So I was told to come back in 20 minutes. I went back at exactly 11:20 and I asked to speak to the manager because there was still no one running the Customer Service Department. The manager told me that there was nothing that he could do. If you want to receive good customer service or any at all for that matter I suggest that you go to the Giant Eagle on Northfield in Bedford Heights
This store is dirty and unkempt. Service is horrible. Often 2 cashiers only. Express checkouts closed every time I go into the store. Completely different experience at Legacy village and west 117th+ Will not shop there anymore.
There were places that I had to straighten up stock to see if the product I wanted was there. I had to unbox my distilled water. I would not have known it was even in stock if I hadn't taken a chance and read one of the packing cartons.
Smelled like fish soon as I walked in the door everything is over priced and alot of stuff be expired and they just leave it on the shelf I do not like no giant eagle and they also has a poor quality of meat it's not the freshest they have to do better
I use to shop here a lot but they are slacking on how the produce area looking and the vegetables are awful.
My go to supermarket especially since I can get my prescriptions filled there too. I've used other pharmacies but I keep going back to them not so much because of price but because I never have a problem with them and my prescriptions are always ready even when they have to contact my doctor for refills.
