Giant Games at Splat Tag

About

Next GIANT Paintball GAME is June 9 2019 *400+ players! Splat Tag Paintball Park.

Description

The GIANT BIG GAME is held twice a year, once in the Spring and again in the Fall. It can have over 400-600 paintball players on two GIANT Teams. this is the biggest event held at Splat Tag in Hudson, Wisconsin.

Scenario layout
In 2017 - Four years after a massive asteroid collided with earth, destroying the entire eastern seaboard, eliminating our federal government, crippling our economy, and throwing the entire world into the chaos of a nuclear winter. The United States Federal Government was officially disbanded and governing responsibilities where handed down to the state & local level governments. Tensions rose as the remaining states in the former U.S. sealed their borders, organized their own military forces, and shored up their defenses to protect their natural resources and ensure the safety of their citizens.

Border tensions between the two great states of Wisconsin and Minnesota have gotten out of control as of late due to increased recon missions both states have been conducting on each other to asses military strengths and weaknesses. Senior military officials from Minnesota concluded that Wisconsin needed to be dealt with on a pro-active basis immediately in order to maintain secure borders. Minnesota struck first with its Fast Attack Force driving deep into Wisconsin territory. But Wisconsin would not fade quietly into the night and struck back with their rapid response unit to quickly halt the invading forces advance. The battle stalemated with massive losses to both sides. Decisive action is needed soon to break the other sides defenses and ensure victory for either Minnesota or Wisconsin. This is where the next and perhaps final chapter of our story begins....

The massive troop losses taken during the initial battle is cause of great concern to senior military officials on both sides of this conflict. Additional military reinforcements are on their way to the front lines to fortify and solidify positions. However, the estimate on their arrival is unknown due to extremely poor weather conditions. To ensure the proper level of support for their front line positions, both Minnesota and Wisconsin have put the word out to all citizens to bear arms and support their state in this conflict. Who will answer the call and join their fellow statesmen in this time of greatest need?

Giant Big Game this year is now 2023 - six years have passed since Minnesota and Wisconsin border skirmishes escalated into all out war between the two states to protect their natural resources and production facilities which they utilize to trade with other parts of the disbanded United States of America for resources they cannot secure on their own.

Many large and potentially decisive battles have been fought over the past six years. However, neither state can hold onto the enemy territory for long due to supply lines being cut from reserve military forces in both states. These battles of attrition take their tolls the most during the winter months when supplies are in dire need to keep troops warm and fed during unnaturally cold weather due to the post-nuclear strike environment.

Each spring and summer sees renewed activity from both sides of the conflict as the warmer weather lends itself to extended military operations. With that being said, extensive resources have been exhausted over the years due to this conflict.

Neighboring states to the south (Iowa and Missouri) and to the west of stalwart Minnesota (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Montana) have sent troops and resources to aid The Midwest Alliance in the upcoming battles due to the limited trading agreements in place prior to all out war breaking out over the boarder conflicts.

The staunch defenders of Wisconsin have called in assistance from what is left of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. These states fight under the banner of The Great Lakes Crusaders (GLC for short). The faster response times due to proximity of these states bodes well for Wisconsin, as they can call in additional support troops much quicker than Minnesota.

The Southern states are involved in conflicts of their own and have yet to throw in with either side of this Northern East/West war beyond roving mercenary/rogue military groups heading north that will fight on the side of the highest bidder for food, shelter and of course fuel/ammo. These roving mercenary/rogue military groups are becoming much more valuable as combat age populations are not being replaced at the rates they are being eliminated due to radiation sickness and conflict.

The question begs to be asked – can either The Midwest Alliance or The Big Lakes Crusaders strike such a decisive victory that they can take over an entire state and hold it? With forces bolstered on each side with fresh troops and renewed supplies, our epic story of survival and post-apocalyptic conflict continues to unfold.

Now the time has arrived to pick a side and grab your trusty paintball gun so you can march off to battle with your fellow soldiers. In the trenches, and through the woods you will watch each other's backs and defend your positions whatever the cost may be. For failure to do so is not an option…Victory awaits the bold and the daring. TO BATTLE!

They were amazing and we had a blast. We have never been paintballing and had so much fun . SplatTag and all the employees were wonderful and very helpful. I think we created a monster people from the group are already talking about going again.
Booked a private session for an extended family of noobs ranging age 16-56 during a reunion camping trip at William O'Brien state park in Minnesota which is a short drive away. They provide the gear, instruction and a guide/referee. Multiple scenarios. We could play as long as we had ammo - plentiful boxes of refills available on site. Couldn't have had a better time - the guide was fantastic and fun. If we lived in the area, would definitely return on a regular basis.
This was the groups first time playing paintball. The staff was amazing. The courses are fun. Great place for parties tent & tables provided. Our ref. Riley was awesome. We had a blast and will definitely come back again maybe during cooler weather with more layers of clothing!
Excellent! Fields were awesome, and well suited for any group size. Staff were great and treated you like you've been coming there for years. Perfect for new and return players of all ages. My group will be back for sure!
Thanks for being so helpful with everything. I have a blast every time I come here. Everyone is great. Thanks for being you
Nice place for private group event. We went with a group of 20 and had fun playing 10 v 10. Price is not the best but courses you go out to are decent. Would be nice if they had different color paint for different teams. One major improvement that’s needed is to either have bigger arm bands or different color vests as the tiny blue armbands they give to separate the teams fall off easily and it’s hard to sort out who’s on which team during the battle.
I have been going to Splat Tag almost every weekend for almost 5 years now! I could not think of a better place to both relax and get pumped up! The fields are always improving, the staff is always friendly and very helpful. Jungle Rumbles and Giant Big Games are always so much fun. Splat Tag is my happy place!
Good place with nice arenas. But they do not have suit rentals so had to go with our own clothes instead. That was the only downside.
I work for a nonprofit organization and we take young people here every year before covid. They did not disappoint this time. We played until we ran out of bullets. They employees were nice buy not necessarily youth friendly. This place is about 45 minutes from Minneapolis and it the biggest paintball park around. Go big or go home.
We had an excellent time! We booked a private group event and we had a blast! Carl and the crew at Splat Tag were awesome, friendly and fun! Booking was easy to do online and it was an affordable event for our group! I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a great way to host a group event that gets everybody outside and involved. Courses were well laid out and the equipment was great!
