Gibbs True Value Hardware

We received the greatest customer service from the staff at Gibbs Hardware! After a warm welcome at the door, we were asked if they could help us find anything. They took us a right to the product we needed, and even gave us extra advice on the project we were working on. In and out in 2 minutes which was perfect.

Usually has what I need and can't find anywhere else. Prices are average, staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean.

Great service, decent selections, and fair prices

I needed to replace a flange nut that I dropped while replacing my battery and the staff was extremely knowledgeable on location of what I needed and willingness for me to run out and try fit on a couple of pieces. Long day made a little easier by some friendly people.

I stopped at Gibbs a few days ago to pick up some plumbing items. A gentleman met me and asked me if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for and he escorted me straight to what I needed. Prices were pretty much same as everyone else. Planning to stop and check out their gas fireplace logs when wife is with me. Gibbs family has been a stable in Ashland for as long as I remember. I have found Gibbs to be an extremely convenient place to quickly grab what I need. Employees have always been extremely helpful and polite and I’ve never felt talked down to as a woman in a hardware store. It’s always bright and clean and items are priced well.

I went there to purchase some self tapping screws for some fender flares. The ones I got were a little too short so I returned them to get longer ones. I have never in my entire life been treated so bad and made to feel so horrible and intentionally embarrassed.The woman that rang me up scoffed at me and was rolling her eyes and making gestures to someone behind me in line she called by name. I knew that if I had confronted her then it would have been a bad situation going horrible fast. So I left. I will never go back. I am 54 years old and this is the worst I've ever been treated at any store that I can remember. This woman should be terminated immediately, there is no room for this kind of treatment anywhere. I wish I knew what really was going on that made her act that way, but nothing could ever excuse it.They also claim to clean in between customers, they didn't.
