Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar

We had to ensure we had dinner here during our visit to Old Montreal in January 2023. So many people had recommended this to us. It was within walking distance for us from our Hotel, so as we strolled through the beautiful snow covered streets with the sun shinning down on us we found it! Incredible stone work and unique design from past years. Our dinner was fantastic and the service was perfect. It felt so warm and cozy yet so elegant as we enjoyed our evening here. Recommend a dinner here for sure!

The steak here is fantastic! The sear is great and the seasoning is perfect. I was surprised at how few pieces of asparagus came with the meal, but it was cooked well with a nice bit of crunch. I also appreciate that they give you bowls of bacon to top your baked potato. Service was slow, but we got great food at an excellent price.Food: 5/5

An absolutely lovely experience. Totally honored to be able to dine at Gibbys. Service was phenomenal. The ambiance is fancy and reminds you the good Old Montreal history. Food was delicious. Such a generous quantity and amazing taste that remains in your mouth. I absolutely love this place. The price is high, but rightfully so. As a steakhouse, astonishing! +Was celebrating birthday adn booked online for this occasion. Was surprised with a generous size cake that tasted amazing too. With no additional charge.

Amazing service. Our waitress was thoughtful and always at the ready. I ordered rib eye steak, rare, and it was perfect. Melt in your mouth delicious. The Montecarlo was scrumptious, and the asparagus was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch. A meal well worth the price. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I was very happy with my visit.

Excellent steakhouse in old Montréal! Service was phenomenal, food was fantastic! The bar is able to whip up any cocktails by request as long as they have the ingredients. The only minor nit is that the tables are a bit close together. It's rather understandable given the popularity. Would definitely consider going back next time I'm in town!

Gibbys is an excellent steakhouse! It was seriously amazing! The food was delicious - and I mean seriously delicious - from the steak itself to the amazing side dishes like the bread, salad, and pickles. It was all so good that we have to remind ourselves that we need to save room for the main course. The staff were so attentive and friendly, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. The vibe was super chill and relaxing, which made it perfect for our group party. We love going there, and we always have an amazing time! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse experience. Oh, and a little tip - if you're celebrating your birthday, definitely let them know - they'll give you a whole cake on the house and even take a photo and print it out for you! Although I will say, the camera was a little old and could use some improvement there. But hey, free cake and a photo? I'm not complaining! The only other thing I have to mention is that the portions are huge - like, seriously huge. I'm a pretty normal person and I couldn't even finish my meal! But again, that's hardly a complaint when the food is so delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for excellent service, amazing food, and a chill atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

Ambience was top notch and just the experience I was looking for visiting Montréal from Texas! The food was outstanding, everything I had was delicious which included the Petit Filet Mignon, broiled shrimp, Gibby's salad, the Monte Carlo potato and the key lime pie! I definitely overdid it, but it was worth it. I hate that I can't remember my server's name but she was excellent and very attentive, even when it got busy. She had just come from vacationing in Jamaica if that helps! She was so kind and friendly. Thank you for making my last meal in Montréal unforgettable

I loved the atmosphere, the food was good. We went there with colleagues everyone ask for something different, the fish was soft but with flavor. Everything else was delicious Food: 5/5

Overall a highly recommended for my steak lovers. For a fish person like me who was craving steak on my visit to Montreal, I jumped on google and loved the review and decided to visit. I ordered for the Rib Steak which was the peoples favorite from the online recommendation I came across, I also ordered for a size of seasoned mushroomthe best I had in town. For Presentation and service was A1. In summary if you’re an antique decor and set up lover you’ll definitely love this place. The only downside is the cold: it was colder than I expected inside. Visited in the month of September 2023. You should pass by if you happen to find yourself in Montreal lol. Merci

It was our 4th time having dinner and we still got surprisedly great impression. Delicious food no questions. Nice people and service. Good portion. Valet parking, a big plus. Cannot wait to come back again!Food: 5/5
