Gibson County High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Gibson County High School's first students enrolled in August 1980, after the consolidation of high schools in the Dyer, Gibson, Medina, Rutherford, Spring Hill, and Yorkville communities. Students from Kenton were first enrolled in 1987.
Gibson County High School students enjoy a diverse and varied curriculum that is a part of the school's quality and comprehensive course offerings. Students are encouraged to develop their own individual interests during their time at Gibson County High School. It is the intent of the faculty and staff that each student who leaves our school be prepared to enter the workforce or to continue their education at a college, university, or vocational center. Gibson County High School aims to help students develop the skills that will enable them to be productive citizens and to enjoy a high quality of life as an adult.
