Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank and Community Services is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that has been partnering with the community to help neighbors in need since 1976.
Services GHP FISH Provides
With donations and support from our community, Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH is able to assist individuals as they move towards self-sufficiency by providing:
• Both perishable and non-perishable food items and other essential groceries.
• Gently used, clean clothing and household goods to our clients.
• Limited help with rent, utility bills, prescriptions and other emergency situations through our financial aid program.
• Financial assistance to college and vocational school students for program expenses, GED exam fees, transportation needs and school supplies.
• Urgent transportation to those needing a ride or to medical appointments.
• Access to social services agencies by offering referrals and a meeting location
• Funding to the Peninsula School District counseling department to help grade school students in need.
