I am a NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, teenagers and adults with a wide range of issues. I have extensive experience working in mental health and school settings.
I have a bachelor’s degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a master’s degree in social work from Adelphi University.
I have studied a wide range of therapeutic approaches (such as cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic approach, positive psychology and mindfulness) and I carefully follow emerging research in the field. In my therapeutic approach, I include what is most helpful for each person’s needs.
I speak several other languages, namely Turkish, Spanish and Hebrew.
I am a trained coach for Open Circle, an evidence-based social emotional learning program for children and have taught social emotional skills to children and teenagers in school settings for many years. I am well versed in the field of emotional intelligence and include it in my therapeutic approach when appropriate.
I am a member of Postpartum Support International and have completed their training on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders: Components of Care.
