A hidden gem of seafood with the prices that wouldn't empty your wallet! The tropical island themed decorations of the place are catching your attention as soon as you come in. Great service! Friendly and polite staff that know their menu items thoroughly. Fresh seafood with a great selection of dishes! Raw bar includes fresh oysters at the prices that beat most of the other places! Portion sizes are very generous! Their chefs really know how to prepare the fish, shrimp, and other seafood to bring out the taste without shadowing it with too many spices. Pure pleasure! My family's new favorite. Recommending!

Place doesn’t take reservations so I highly recommend getting there earlier or later than normal dinner time. Worth the wait though.. so many dishes available that sounded delicious and what we ordered was amazing!!Food: 4/5

This is a very popular place to eat seafood in Rockland County, NY. Lots of traffic. I wanted the experience. Visited it 2 weeks ago. I was able to find parking easily, maybe because it was mid-afternoon. I immediately noticed a sign hanging on the property fence "no crabby attitudes." The outside of the restaurant is modest. Once inside, the decor vibe and the theme are definitely seafood. Although they serve all different types of dishes, salads, soups, burgers, and pizza, The menu is extensive. Small tiki bar by the entrance, and then the hostess/host area. We were attended not greeted by a hostess young lady with glasses, not courteous, nor friendly. Simply said how many, grabbed the menus, and proceeded to a table in the middle of the dining room. I asked for a different table, and she indicated very curtly that this is what you are getting. Got my attention, not a good start to the experience. Now I'm wondering, is this how it's going to be? To the rescue, our server Nicolina!!. She exuded friendliness, courtesy, professionalism, empathy, always a smile, and very pleasant. Changed my tune immediately. Started with my usual, a margarita, and a mojito for my date. Mine not lemony, tasty, refreshing, a bit heavy on the ice. This i mentioned to our server. The mojito was not Miami Cuban style, but it did the job. Missing the mint leaves flavor, and the sugar cane stick. I know I'm wishing for too much. For apps had the stuffed mushrooms with a crabmeat spinach combo, and a New England clam chowder a bit soupy, and tasty, good flavor, lots of clams, enjoyed it. For the main course, i ordered the cape cod broiled dinner for 1. I noticed the servings were small, so i ordered double the serving. I wanted my fish, one blackened and the other broiled because the texture changes if it is blackened. It also included scallops, shrimps, vegetables, salad, and coleslaw. Remember, i ordered double the entry. Everything on the plate was delicious, hot, fresh, and cooked to my specs. I had fun with it. My date ordered the Alaskan surf and turf, which included half a pound of king crab legs and a NY strip steak. The steak was tender. I tasted it. Not chewy. Medium size portion accompanied with linguine. Good presentation. Remember the hostess as I'm eating she's going by with a high chair and bumps into my chair from behind and says nothing. I just laughed it off. At this point, i had no room for dessert. What a shame. Regardless of the hostess, my date, and I truly enjoyed the experience at Gilligan's Clam. The main dishes were a bit pricey, and the servings between medium and small. Enjoyed the food very much, and especially the exceptional service by Nicolina. I rated this experience a 4.6.

Been here a bunch! Great restaurant and you can get away with a pretty inexpensive meal, if you don't drink alcohol. I got the artic char and my guest got the cape cod for one. Foods great, quick service. Only complaint is that they are pretty loud. There isn't much to absorb the sound, so you just hear everyone talking over themselves Parking: They have a parking lot. When they get busy, they do free valet, so you just tip the guy

This place never fails. Ever. Amazing portions. Amazing food. Went in today 8/28/23 and every thing came out great. Today we got Karen again, we had her a few times in the past. She was super amazing and on top of her game like in the past. Give her a raise please.Food: 5/5

LOVE this place!!! The food is so good here. As you can see we tried a little bit of everything. One of the best meals I've ever had and have been back since. One of the most expensive meals too $$$ but I have to say this. The staff was great, drinks were tasty, food delicious, and even though the bill was high don't normally spend $200+ for 2 people for dinner, but we were celebrating. It was well worth it. I was full with leftovers and didn't feel like I got robbed. Will definitely be back for sure. Thanks Gilligan's.

Without any prior notice, a 20% tip is surreptitiously added to the bill, including a built-in gratuity of 20%. This practice seems deceptive, as they present the bill with a demand for a foolishly high tip amount. Customers should exercise caution and thoroughly review the bill before adding any additional gratuity prior to signing. Such deceptive practices targeting customers should be abolished, and mandatory tipping should be eliminated

When you pay over $100 for two ppl you expecting much better. Gilligan’s definitely is very high rated on Google reviews. In reality it’s not what you will expect. Service: ok not the best, the servers were eating while talking to you Food: was mediocre, soup extremely small portion like an espresso cup, pieces of unpeeled avocado, sandy clams, not clean mussels. Ambience: there is no ambience, the place it’s to loud by the staff members dropping plates and talking very loud. The best part was the crab and the wine.

Omg the best place ever for Lobster!!! We always order Lobster for 4! I highly recommend giving this place a try!! We love it!!

Sorry Gillian’s you lost the Minow and the captain is really ticked at you. Here is why, your restaurant and decor is very filthy. While your service is slow but understandable Your food is hideous. 1- escargot snails these were very chewy. 2-stuffed flounder with crab meat was over seasoned salty 3-wow the 12 shrimp deep fried was battered not tasty. 4-The fried cod was tasteless, everything was over batter and the fish had no taste at all. Tasteless. I removed the batter and tried the fish that was tasteless. 5-I was looking forward to a nice lunch 6- the salad dressing was water down and so did the cocktail sauce. 7- the cole slaw made at your restaurant is the worst I have ever tasted. 8-Gilligan wake you up and make this place great. Too many of your customers that have no Idea of how sea food should taste give you an excellent rating. 9- sorry that you are still stranded in your Island Gilligan. Wake the hell up and start to care about your restaurant. 10- I will never, never ever visit your location again. Let this review be and awakening.
