Brought in a young kitten that was rescued from down south while on a vacation. We came straight there with him to make sure he would be clear to bring into the household with other cats. We explicitly said he came from the outside and we wanted everything evaluated to make sure he would be safe to bring into the house. We were advised to just keep him in a separate room until he finished his vaccines and were sent home that evening. The following morning we wake up and find fleas on him. Now our two other cats are strictly indoors and never come in contact with any other animals. These fleas originated from the kitten unfortunately. The vet promptly wrote us a script for medication for the kitten but refused to take fault in missing the fleas. Now also unfortunate for us we recently moved from central Indiana so the two adult cats we have do not have an established vet out here to get their own script filled for $200 worth of flea treatment they will now need as well. Gilmer advised we pay for two more cat evaluations just to get the script written. Would not offer to comp the evaluations for the adults at all despite them being at fault for having let us introduce to fleas into the household. Wildly unfortunate since they were heavily recommended to us by friends.
We feel so blessed to have these doctors who took such great. Compassionate care of our sweet Gigi. She took a turn for the worse yesterday and I called. They fit her in. They waited for my son and his wife to get there from the city. This meant the world to them and Gigi. Her passing though difficult was so much less stressful due to their compassionate care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Dr. Thomas is great, not sure if i can say the same thing about the others. They are not as enthusiastic as he is. Reason for the 3 stars is because we brought in a dog we found outside and brought her in to get examed before bringing her around the other dogs. When it was time to check out reception told us we had a balance from previous exam of our other dog, We were totally unaware after 5 months of her service. The balance threw us off guard as they did not charge us the correct price the first time. Reasonable prices, decent staff but it was their fault for not correcting price the first time around.
They saved our 4 lb chihuahua from dying from very rapid horrific hemorrhaging gastroenteritis. They treated her like she was #1 over the course of several days. She survived. We didn’t think she could given her size and how fast it took her down. We thought there was no way. Thank you!
all the staff are very nice and show love towards your fury children.the people who bring in their fur babies are great to talk to .the dr. made us feel comfortable and well taken care of.thank you to all of you.
Dr. Thomas and his staff have been wonderful while taking care of my aging cat, helping to navigate new issues arising. They are definitely giving me piece of mind.
The best!! Staff and doctors are so nice, I have been coming here for 5 years and won’t go anywhere else with my puppy!!
Dr. Nagar and Dr. Thomas are competent. My dog has arthritis because he is large and 17 years old. He's been on carprofen and gabapentin for many years. I was surprised when I realized Dr Thomas wrote the prescriptions for only 2 weeks of medicine with no refill I figured it was an oversight until Dr Nagar declined to refill it It bothers me that my sweet old dog has to endure back pain while I wait for my appointment at a different vets office Did they honestly expect me to come in every two weeks?
Would not recommend this vet. Their customer service is great, unless you have a problem, then their only response is shrugging their shoulders. They are not thorough and the appointment felt rushed. Now I have to go to another vet for my cats and get them treated for something that was completely avoidable.
If I could give zero stars I would. This facility diagnosed an animal with ring worm after putting drops in an eye that would glow in a black light. Put the kitten u set the black light and said you have ringworm. Put my entire family in a situation, had me bring all my animals in, said they all needed to be treated and not one of them actually had it. Treatment was 2 baths per week for over 8 weeks and two negative tests plus oral medication. Not to mention to mop my walls, floors, etc. when I call and questioned the diagnosis due to the eye drops given they told me the actual test would be expensive but I can do that if I wanted. No one who works at this facility has any idea what they are actually talking about.
