Excellent pizza by the slice. Bronx bomber hero features actual thick sliced ham. All food appears to be packed to go, despite the order taker confirming our desire to dine in. When we arrived, the typical Italian music was playing. A different style of music started blasting from the dining room speakers about the time it did was ready, creating a very chaotic, high-energy vibe.
I play poker at Gino's on Friday and Saturday nights and have always enjoyed myself. I typically get a chicken salad when I go out as I try to eat light. When I get the chicken salad they put a ton of chicken on the salad and I've always enjoyed it. However, today I decided to order the shrimp salad. Mind you this shrimp salad cost about $17 and the chicken cost about 16. I never minded the price because they always give you a lot of food. So today as I order the shrimp salad for the first time they bring it out and there's literally six pieces of little shrimp on the salad. They tell me that that's how much shrimp they put on their salads and sometimes it's five instead of 6. Mind you little pieces of shrimp. I say I don't want it if I'm paying $17 for a shrimp salad that has 6 pieces of little shrimp on it. They said I touched the box so I can't send it back. Just want to let Gino know they lost a customer today. I will still go to play poker but I will never buy food from this establishment again. I thought you were better than this. Gino's
DO NOT Orde WINGS here. I used to think this was a great spot. Today I ordered baked wings, for starters $15 for 10 wings is already overpriced, on top if you want your wings "baked" they charge $1 extra. To my surprise those wings aren't baked at all, dried and burn, they even taste frozen. By the time I realized my fam had already eaten almost half of them so when I went and talked to the "manager" he simply refused to change them or do anything in order to solve the situation, instead he keep saying it was my fault for eaten the pieces and that the cook claimed they are baked. This guy was absolutely rude and not professional at all. Do your self a favor and don't waste your money at this place.
Can't go wrong with anything here, their slices and cakes sell out quick, there’s a reason for that. everything I've had has been a hit. From the; lasagna, meats, margerita, buffalo chicken, garlic pizzas to the fish and chips fries to us Americans. Even the humongous cakes they serve were banging! I’ve had the red velvet, strawberry cheesecake, carrot, cookies and cheesecake, German chocolate, birthday, key lime, and even one with like 4 kinds of cakes in one!
2023.05.30 - What happened? The prices were always inflated, but at least the food quality used to be respectable. Apparently that has changed because the salty brick of semi-reheated, plasticized “cheese” covering a flat sheet of flour goo I was served isn’t anywhere close to being identifiable as the slice of NY lasagna I thought I was ordering. As for the “Stromboli roll” I also ordered, what I received could better be described as: dough stuffed with a watery mess of semi-warmed onions, some green pepper slivers, a few pepperoni slices and 5 additional sausage-flavored meat slices, then drowned in oil and loosely held together with the same plasticized cheese as the “lasagna”. It would take an iron stomach to keep it down, assuming you could justify swallowing it. Again, I’m not sure what happened to cause so many corners to be cut that what I was served is truly representative of two of Gino’s menu staples, but I hope management would consider refunding the $36 I was billed for those two items in hopes of salvaging a customer. Perhaps this was a fluke, but quality control definitely needs attention if my southern-born friend’s lasagna tastes more NY Italian.
I've heard some great things about Gino's, so I had to come check it out for myself. Being a NYC native, they won me over. It's the closest to NYC pizza that I've had from the cheese pull to the grease dripping. We had cheese slices and beef patties which are rare down here. We loved it and look forward to trying the rest of your menu.
Well-seasoned pizza. Dough was not well done. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.Food: 4/5
Due to my last few recent experiences, the quality is very poor especially at night. They literally don’t even cook the pizzas anymore! Especially if the pizza is premade. Don’t expect the additional toppings to be cooked. All added toppings were just thrown on top of the pizza raw. Gino’s sucks at this point! Will not be returning!
Great comfortable atmosphere! Outside patio seating available! Great food reasonable prices! Food: 5/5
Hi personally would not purchase from this place again. I ordered a medium size meat, lovers, pizza with banana, peppers and pineapples. When I received the pizza the pizza was in terrible condition. Also when I received the pizza, it only had banana peppers and pineapples no meat. This restaurant refused to refund me. Honestly, the pizza tasted like bread with banana peppers. and cheese it did not taste like pizza.
