Probably the best white pizza I've ever had. Building itself could use a little work but it's new. Definitely would go again.
I got the buffalo chicken hoagie. I will say that value-wise it was pretty good. The mountain of fries you get would satiate anyone. The sandwich itself had some-issues. Good ranch dressing, but that’s not hard to do. The chicken was in strips that only come from frozen bags and the placement was just weird. The chicken only covered about half the sandwich so you have to go in and move them yourself. The rest of the sandwich was just lettuce, onion, and tomato, so if you love BLTs go for it. Overall, it was just ehh, I might go back, might not, just nothing there that really says “you need to try this”. Good service.
I keep reviewing this place and somebody keeps removing my review?- maybe because I posted honest photos of the brown slimy lettuce in my salad! Are you serious ? why does anybody bother posting a review if someone else can remove it?
Good food and nice upstairs bar. I tried the pizza and just as good as the downtown location.
We recently had a large family gathering of 50 people to celebrate my father's life. Ertan and his team were extremely solicitous of our needs and offered a large variety of food and a private dining area for our guests. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone particularly enjoyed the meatballs and the variety of pizzas. The room was absolutely lovely with the sun streaming in all of the many windows, and we had plenty of room to interact with one another. Everyone felt very welcome and they raved about the meal. The service was phenomenal, and we couldn't be more appreciative of the gracious and caring consideration we were given throughout the process of making arrangements and on the day of the luncheon. We didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you so much for a happy memory!
Rum Runners had become a tremendous disappointment... Giovanni's is ALREADY off on a better path. I've visited several times now, and I always give places a few shots before I write a review. I've had both Italian and Mediterranean items from the menu, both very good, and moderately but reasonably priced. I've also had two different hoagies, but more than adequate for under ten dollars. I have a large appetite and have left content each time I've been here. Drink prices are cheaper than neighboring establishments which a refreshing change on Babcock. Service has been great at the bar, though I admit I've never sat in the dining room since the owner change. However the managers appear to be very hands on in ensuring the waitstaff are properly trained and attentive to tables waiting. Overall, I am much happier giving my business to these new owners and staff. I am hopeful that business starts to pick back up for them... I honestly don't know why it wouldn't. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is tired of overpriced bar food on Babcock or in the North Hills in general. Looking forward to Pizza in the future.
I had my husbands 40th Birthday upstairs, about 130 people. Everything was perfect. Food was delicious and well priced. The bar tenders were friendly and made delicious drinks. The owner was available as needed and made sure the buffet didn’t run out of food. At 9, when the DJ started everyone danced the night away, he played great songs. Definitely deserves 5 stars plus ! We Will be going back on a Saturday night to enjoy the DJ again .
This is not usual for me to offer 5 stars. This location was formally called ‘Rum Runners’. Since the transition to Giovanni’s has just about been completed, I can say with confidence that the menu is incredibly better. The staff and management is professional, friendly, and most of all inviting. This has become my go-to place for a drink, good customers, conversation and good food. If you need a break from the mundane and want a place with all of what I mentioned go here.
We've been here twice now, willing to try again. The food is always great, the problems are with the service. The first time we went, our server was brandy new. But he tried really hard. And whenever we had a question he couldn't answer, he would go and find out for us. The bartender wasn't there that day, so the cook was pulling double duty. We made sure to not ask for anything difficult or unusual. The second time we went, they had two people working. The bartender was also waiting on tables. The cook was also serving. There were about 30 or so customers and service was horrible. At least the first visit, the server was apologetic. This time the woman would blatantly ignore people. Yes, she was clearly overwhelmed, but acknowledge when someone is taking to you. Even if it's just to say, "I'll be with you as soon as I get this order in" or whatever. We'll try this place again because the food is always good, but I'm not sure how many customers you'll keep if the service doesn't improve. Hire more employees.
The restaurant was extremely cold, everyone in there had their coats on! Very uncomfortable conditions! We ask numerous times to adjust the thermostat this was April Drinks outrageously priced! Dinners overpriced for what you received, everything was extra! However, Waitress very nice and courteous. No complaints there. First time there, probably the last!
