This place is so well kept and beautiful. The facilities are well maintained and the grounds are neat.
My daughter went to the Choose Your Own Adventure camp this summer. She had so much fun!! The staff were incredible! She did tie-dye, painting, archery, horseback riding and kayaking all in one weekend! This was her 3rd time at Camp Logan and it didn't disappoint!! We will be back!
The counselors were not very nice. Several of the people in my child's group were let into the camp with lice. The food is bad. Most of the cabins are wooden frames with mesh walls and a tarp to keep out the rain. My child was forced to sleep in a separate cabin due to having a slight cough. She was terrified. No one came to wake her up and she was left alone for hours. I do not recommend.
We love this camp. Well maintained, great views and a lot of fun!
Great place for girls to go to camp Girls Scout Camp Very Beautiful The camp has a lot to offer Girls I went when I was a young girl now my granddaughters are going Horseback riding, archery, swimming and much more
I have nothing but good memories of this camp when I was a teenager. I'm not sure of the year, but would have been 1980ish. I went two years and loved every minute. We stayed a week and it must have been kinda expensive because I only got to go when my troop paid part of the fee for being a top seller of cookies. Made new friends and had some good times. The counselors were great too. The only bad memory was fighting the mosquitoes at night trying to sleep in the tents. I decided to see if I could find my old camp by Googling after watching KEEPER OF THE ASHES. I was curious if it was still in operation. Do they still have a summer camp for a big bunch of scouts from all over? Do they still do that?
Camp Logan was started in 1928 as a Girl Scout entity. I attended Camp as a camper when I was younger, and I was a counselor when I was a young adult, and now I am involved in the alumni group. I happen to know for a fact that this is the best camp in the world! The property sits on a corner of a 550 acre lake. The property also has wonderful swampland to explore, pine tree forests, excellent unit locations with platform tents, a beautiful new troop house so that girls can camp any time of year. The camp also has a beautiful lodge with a giant deck overlooking the lake from atop the hill.
The archery and air rifle range is great. The new Singing Hills building is very nice but it just isn't camping. The ranger is always helpful. My girls love coming here.
Camp Logan is a beautiful piece of property and a treasure for all who experience camp here each summer. The staff who maintain this camp and make programming possible are wonderful!
Awesome camp facility. Very well taken care of. Kudos to the Propery Manager.
