Phenomenal tour guide, great detail and very engaging with our small group. Free admission but there is a donation box. I highly recommend this stop, a great example of well off family estates. There is a lift for access to 2 of the 3 floors.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree

Excellent your of the home/museum by our tour guide Scott. Beautiful home.
We had a great time exploring the museum and learning more about the local history. A self guided tour is available via the Uniguide app. so bring your headphones. Also enjoy artwork and jewelry from local artists in the gallery and a nice little visitor's center with information about other attractions near by.
If you love history then you will love touring this museum. Would like to return for another visit.
The tour guide was awesome. She was so helpful and informative. We really enjoyed it. Beautiful place with an interesting history.
Great glimpse into local history. We'll preserved family treasures.
Glencoe Museum is a wonderful place to visit to learn about the history of Radford and the people who shaped it into the beautiful place Radford is today.
I grew up in the Radford area, although I haven't lived there in decades. I was recently back visiting family and drove by this building, which I'd driven by thousands of times prior to its conversion to a museum. We decided to drop in and have a look. And what a wonderful hour we spent there! The young man who was on site stepped away from his other duties to give us a tour. We learned about the house itself, the family who lived there, which led right into a history of the town since the family includes some of the common names in the area. They have been able to acquire some of the original furnishings from the family's time, and they have access to some original writings which will allow them to further expand on the exhibits. For someone who wanted to learn more about the area in which I grew up, this was a perfect stop. Even if you're not from the area, though, this is worth an hour of your time. Small Southern towns always have great stories to tell!
My family really had an absolutely wonderful time visiting the Glencoe mansion museum. The house/mansion itself was beautiful and full of history. The furnishings and decorative items were also lovely, and some are even pieces owned by the original home owners many years ago. The host and hostess were both very friendly, and the host has a wealth of knowledge about the house and the period, and can answer any questions you have.
