First time at the new facility and they did a great job with the building. Nothing fancy just straight to the point and we'll done. The staff are nice and helpful and the ice is really good on both rinks. I wish NSIA could have been built like this instead it's a cool 10 million down the drain. Hopefully we get to keep playing some games here as it's a great new rink and will get a ton of use in the future.
Excellent ice rink with plenty of seating and open space
Beautiful and clean, and nice temperature for spectators.
Nice facilities, well taken care of. Inclusive community of hard working people. The food smells great too but didn't get a chance to try any.
I come here once or twice a week for stick and puck. It’s great they provide pucks and training aids and maintain the ice very well. I never have any issues and the building is very clean. Great parking setup too.
What a beautiful ice arena! Well-run and meticulously maintained with helpful, highly competent staff, this is the place to be! Glenview Ice operates in a 45-year-old building that was fully renovated and reopened in September 2020 to a state-of-art facility with two full-sized rinks, a half-sized rink, a pro shop, a dry-land training area, a full service restaurant, amongst other modern amenities, all accessible to persons with disabilities. The views alone are incredible - glass enclosed rinks and upper-level bleacher seating create an atmosphere of being ‘in the action.’ Hockey Director, Sylvain Turcotte, is internationally known. This program offers summer leagues and off-ice training, playing host to many local hockey clubs including the Glenview Park District. The facility hosts regional hockey tournaments and year-round ice time for rent. Additionally, GCIC is a top-end training facility for figure skating. In addition to hosting free-style skaters, it’s an excellent training faculty for all levels of US Figure Skating’s competitive athletes. For new and less experienced skaters, GCIC participates in US Figure Skating’s Learn-to-Skate program curriculum that accepts children ages 4 and up. This is quality skating instruction with professionally credentialed USFSA coaches. I highly recommend Glenview Community Ice Center for your on-ice sports training and leagues.
Nice rink but the staff is horrible. The Zamboni drivers is mean and when I wanted the ask the front desk a question , there were two people sitting in chairs behind the glass I was trying to get their attention and after a couple tries I started getting louder , he looked at me And completely ignored me and continued talking to his co worker
New from the ground up facility. Twin sheets plus Studio Rinks, Pro Shop, coffee & donuts booth on main level plus great pizza & sandwiches, bar up stairs.
Love this rink. It’s nice to be warm in the bleachers instead of freezing. The cafe upstairs serves some delicious food too. Love coming here for competitions.
Such a nice new facility and two sheets now with a studio rink. A zamboni that works! I think we all remember the old wreck. So glad the pro shop is still there. Delighted at how clean the floors were as well.
