We love our apartment and the team at The Globe! Stephanie and her team are always professional and prompt with any questions or issues that may arise. They always treat residents fairly and with respect. Our factory rehab apartment with lots of exposed brick and massive windows is beautiful and affordable. We wouldn’t live anywhere else downtown GR!
We need a parking ramp, because paying for parking at a place I live is getting expensive. It doesn't matter where I park, if I'm on the street, even with the tag hanging in my window, I'm getting parking tickets. We shouldn't have to risk all of these tickets because the parking lot isn't big enough and only certain people get to have a spot in the parking garage. I'd rather pay an extra $100 and have a 2 story parking ramp/garage than get a $30 ticket almost every day or have to pay for street parking by the hour. We, also, need a handicap ramp by the stairs in the front of the building, in the parking lot. Anyone that needs one has to go to the other side of the building to enter, and that's not fair. Plus, we get loads of groceries, and most residents have a cart but can't lift it up the flight of stairs.
Lived here 3 years and it was great. Large rooms with big windows. Any maintenance issues were fixed promptly. Jen was great to work with and helpful with any issues. The only downsides were one of the two elevators broke a couple times and the gym was closed. New washers and dryers were a bonus shortly before I moved out.
Our landlord, Jen, has been amazing. Excellent communication and quick maintenance, and very friendly. The apartments are very spacious with high ceilings, and very affordable. The location is great too, walking distance to breweries, restaurants, the Downtown Market, shops, movie theater, and an upcoming mall. Best value I've come across!
Following a deployment and recent life changes, I found myself in a rush to move to Grand Rapids. On a single income I found myself looking for the most "bang for my buck" and the moment I found The Globes, I felt confident this was my next home. I was busy and always on the move but, throughout the process of applying and moving in, Jen was consistent and amazing in her assistance. She made the process smooth, pain free and even secured a 2 bedroom 2 bath for me now I can accomodate guests! Definitely, a place you can make into a comfortable home, especially with a Manager that cares and wants the best for the facility. The best part about this place, besides the location in Downtown Grand Rapids, is that it is only going to get better. Always eager to come home to my spacious and comfortable apartment.
Great Place to live, the staff is extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their residents. Each apartment is spacious with tons of room, and the walls are thick no problem with noise. Great location easy to walk ANYWHERE in downtown!
The staff of The Globe Apartments is very friendly and polite, and I would definitely recommend it as a place to live. Jen goes above and beyond every day for the tenants that reside here.
I would definitely recommend, anyone to move here, if you are a outgoing person this is definitely the place. Located around a outgoing area, art prize down the streets, plenty of restaurants.. lot's, of fun activities going on in the park in the summer time...The People at the globe are so awesome!! Very understanding, and helpful everyday even in passing when you walk by the front office she's greeting you with a smile, Taking time out of her schedule to ask about your day..The maintenance is on whatever problem you need right away! I would definitely say yes
This apartment building is probably one of the worst I've lived in. The man who cleans was taunting me and laughing at me for no absolute reason which I found rude. They false advertise, the pool and jacuzzi don't even function this place is literally a pretty bad place. If you want something nice don't come here. This place has a bed bug problem, people leave mattresses down stairs that say "bed bugs" and the building staff does nothing about it. DO NOT COME HERE
The apartments look beautiful, they are in a great place, and the rent is reasonable, but I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone. I have called and left a message four times in the past month and no one has called back. I also tried an email but that didn't work either.
