Through a partnership with Kyetume Community Based Health Care Programme, we are helping to make sustainable change in a community for health and social equity.
GlobeMed at UMKC is a student lead organization that partners with Kyetume Community Based Health Care Programme in Mukono, Uganda. This partnership focuses on promoting sustainable public health programs in the community surrounding Kyetume CBHCP. This allows GlobeMed members to connect with families in Mukono while fundraising for public health projects for their community. Currently our chapter has a primary focus on youth health and sexual health issues.
Each individual chapter of GlobeMed partners with health organizations in impoverished communities in an attempt to foster sustainable programs in their communities as well as establish a movement for global health equity here in the United States.
