Gloucester Veterinary Hospital 2470 St. Joseph Boulevard

After reading such great reviews I was eager to take my new puppy here. Unfortunately I was shocked when I called to ask if they were accepting new patients as I required a wellness check for my pup and the receptionist said ‘ugh! I wish breeders would stop recommending these!’. She then went on to tell me how busy they were and would not be able to accommodate us due to staff holidays. Fortunately I called another local vet who congratulated me on my new puppy and accommodated us no problem without making me feel like an inconvenience to them.

I've been coming here since 2009. I have nothing but Great Respect for All the Staff! All the Receptionists are Amazingly Nice and Caring. Very Friendly, Knowledgeable and helpful every time. Also Very Clean and inviting place. I recommend it to everyone I know! Dr. Kristina McLaren is so Caring and Helpful. She goes above and beyond her duties and it shows she cares about her furry patients and their parents. Her support and knowledgeable advice helped me through a VERY difficult time with my Most Precious best friend. Don't know how I would've went through it without Dr. K. McLaren. A genuine Thank you!!

Excellent and friendly service. The vet on staff goes out of his way to explain decisions and gives options. Offers advice on puppy handling and overall just a pleasure to speak with.

I am so happy that this clinic was recommended to me. Dr. Scarlett has been amazing at helping troubleshoot various problems with my two cats. He is thorough with explanations and makes sure that you understand options so that you can choose the correct course of action for your pet. I've seen Dr. McLaren for an emergency visit and she was fantastic as well. Colleen is one of the kindest people that I've ever interacted with and is super helpful. Christine and Kayla have been fantastic as well. TLDR: really excellent care from kind humans. Also, be nice to them, vet's offices have to deal with some tough stuff.

Much as my cats don't like going to the vet because, well, they're cats... I feel they get the best possible treatment here. Everyone genuinely cares about animals and it shows, from the way both the humans and the pets are treated in the reception area, to the detailed conversations with the veterinarian about their individual well-being.

Cozy clinic with wonderful, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. It was our first time at a vet clinic with our newly adopted cat, and the visit was pleasant throughout.

Excellent vet. Caring, patient and helpful in making sure everything is properly explained. They always compassionately follow up with us after we have left the clinic for days just to make sure everything is going well They also are excellent at providing options and considering costs. 100% would recommend.
