Attractions at the Glowood Campground include the Conseco Field House, Corner-Prairie-Farm, and Hamilton Town Center.

Description

Glowood Campground in Pendleton, Indiana, is a campground and RV park that is conveniently located off the interstate. It was built 43 years ago and was eventually turned it into a campground. Our quiet country atmosphere includes tent sites with sewer hook-ups and dump stations. We have a public telephone and offer firewood for sale, too.

"Nice quiet country setting."

I just spent my first week out of the month I'm staying at this campground and so far it's pretty decent. You simply can't beat the price in this area. It's almost like two campgrounds in one. There's the wooded extended-stay section and the full hookup park style pull throughs that can handle anything. We stayed in the trees. The 30 amp service is a little weak and we blew breakers in the bath house a couple times. Easy fix just have to walk over there and flip the switch. Water quality is good and the campground was level. There was a big pile of firewood right by our campsite when we got there. It's a simple rustic mom-and-pop operation and it's great if you're not looking for a resort-style campground.
A great place to spend a concert weekend!! It's quiet, the bathrooms are clean and the owners are very sweet. We also had a good amount of room for our site. We've stayed twice, now and it's become our go to. Ruoff is just 5 minutes away, and at $40 a night for full hook up, you can't beat it! If you enjoy the sound of nature, this is the place! Playground: More like a sma play area Restrooms: Very vlean Dog-friendliness: We didn't have ours, bit saw quite a few that did.
The campground itself is small, but nice and quiet. It has lots of grass and space between campsites. However, there are a couple of areas that need attention which others are mentioned. It's true that the office area is quite unkempt to the point of uneasiness. Spider webs are hanging everywhere. A decent cleaning would go a long way to improving it. The other issue is the potholes. There are many and they are not shallow. I am not saying to not go here because it is a nice little campground, but be prepared for the roadway and drive v-e-r-y slowly. I did not use the restrooms or showers so cannot comment. The owners are friendly and apparently even give free firewood.
Pros: water hook up, 30 amp electrical, cheep, quiet, and the gentleman who showed us to our spot was a very kind man. Cons: the bathhouse isn't for someone expecting 5 stars, but it works better than a tree stump and a pine branch. You can also hear the interstate when your outside your RV. Overall: I would stay here again in an instant, the price and Mitch the were great. Plus we had a ton of room to ourselves.. more than I've had at any other campground ever.. and we all know how the $48 a night camp grounds pack them in.. Make sure to get site 53...
Pictures say it all. The WORST campground we have ever been to in our 46 years of camping. I can understand a few mud puddles after several rainy days, but it is clear that not much effort is put into maintenance or updates. If you are self contained with no need for a bathroom or water, this would be quieter than Wal-Mart parking lot. We do not camp at Walmarts, but their parking lots are much nicer than Glo Wood dumpsville campground. If the county health department checked this place I am sure it would be condemned. Restrooms: The condition of the bathrooms were pathetic.
We love staying at Glowood when we go to concerts at Ruoff Music Center. It’s only a 4-7 mints drive to Ruoff. The site we had was very spacious with nice plastic picnic tables and full hookup. We absolutely love the owners and will come back again at the next concert!
Reposting of my original review, let's do pro and cons. Pros- nice owners Free firewood Quiet campground Nice pull thru spot R5 Cons- The office/ check in place filthy. and no one there to greet you. The pool is absolutely disgusting, see picture Not what the website. shows. The grounds aren't as nice as the pictures online, grass overgrown, the gravel pads are mostly grass, lots of pot holes and mud holes. The wooded area for camping is even worse it's really hard to see where to camp, also looks like like a junk yard, several campsites have campers that look like they belong in a horror movie, not to mention what appears to be people living in the campground, and in filthy condition's trash all over the ground. In short yes it's close to the ruoff home mortgage music center but not an inviting place, camper beware, also not a place for children.
Love the secluded and shaded tent camping. The free firewood and warm showers are so nice too!! A great community of pholks that enjoy the camping! Thank you!
It's a nice place to stop for a night or two. The grounds are basic, but well kept.
Was only there for a quick overnighter. The 50a power was good, didn't hook up to anything else. Quiet setting, man that showed us to our site was very nice. Only reason for the four stars was because the drive thru the park was pretty rough.
