Experience unique Kanazawa style curry at this authentic location in Hmart! The staff is so wonderful and they do a great job with caring for the food. Having eaten Go Go Curry in Boston, NYC, and Tokyo, I'm happy to say the quality is consistent and definitely worth the trip to try.Food: 5/5
Crispy katsu paired with delicious curry = happy stomach. Katsu breading is crunchy, flaky, and seasoned well. Shrimp tempura was the same but a bit greasy. The curry had great flavor and a bit of a kick, which perfectly enhances the flavors of all the other elements on the plate. Sausage had the crunch and was super juicy. Slaw was a good break from all the flavors and fried food. The curry dish was a great meal overall. Unlike many of the other reviews, I think this place is pretty solid I've only been here a couple times as of this review. The prices are pretty good and the meal is satisfying and tasty. I call that a win in my books. The food also comes out relatively quick depending on the traffic and the seating area is decently clean. Keep in mind, the Go Go Curry is in Hmart, so it's not necessarily the place you take someone visiting the area. But it definitely is a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner if you're nearby.
Decent Japanese katsu and curry chain located inside Hmart. Recently got a takeout of their grand slam curry. I liked how they offered a wide variety in one menu, and it was perfect for indecisive people like myself. The combination of pork and chicken katsu, shrimp tempura, and sausages was well sorted, and the portion was huge for the price. I grew up eating a lot of Japanese katsu and curry, and this was unfortunately on the lower quality side. Curry wasn’t so flattering, meat portions of the katsu were too thin, and the cabbage salad had a coarse texture which I never experienced. However, with a lack of good Japanese food options in Cambridge, this place is still a decent option if you’re craving for some katsu and curry.
A great place to curb your tonkatsu craving right before shopping in hmart. Nothing fancy but generous portions and reasonably priced for the area. I got the home run for $21 and it was perfect for 2 people.
It's a food court meal, so I'm not expecting much - but it's the food court at an H Mart, so I am used to something better than this. We went on a Sunday at lunchtime, so it was quite busy since that's a popular grocery shopping time. There aren't a lot of options at this H Mart food court, so I decided to give Go Go Curry a chance simply because I haven't tried it before. However, from now on I'll definitely be sticking to the ramen counter next door. There are a decent number of curry options with pork, chicken, shrimp, fish, or tofu. However, they all use the pork curry, so you have to specifically request it if you want the veggie curry. I ordered the fish katsu. The katsu itself was fine, and the curry had a bit of a kick but was not particularly tasty. It's served on white rice and raw cabbage - don't expect a lot of rice, and the salad is neither fresh nor good. A definite 1-star. It wasn't cheap enough to warrant spending the price of a meal on food that wasn't very good, and I left still hungry. I certainly would not order this again, and I won't be back at the curry counter to try anything else, either.
Curry and pork katsu was delicious but shrimp tempura was raw. It was still translucent instead of solid white
I really like the Tofu Katsu Curry, it is filling and flavorful. Nice to have veggie curry option of this Japanese dish. Quantity of the gravy could be more for the larger meals. Vegetarian options: Tofu and Veggie Tempura Options with Veggie Curry Option
bruh what happened to the rice? you guys used to have the best rice but now it’s like the worst quality rice I’ve ever had. also the portion sizes got so much smaller
The food was hot but tofu was cold, the taste was acceptable, not overly flavorful and a bit watery
While the chicken katsu curry was very flavorsome and absolutely delicious, I have to say, they're very stingy about the other ingredients. I decided to add on pork sausage for an extra fee of 2 dollars. When I received my food, there was one, very tiny sausage added. Feels like a huge rip off. The sausage was tasty but was definitely not anything special, a low quality inexpensive sausage for 2 dollars? I would have been okay with it, if they had added at least 2, 1 dollar each sure...but realistically they should have added 4 of those tiny things. Over all the food is what you would expect if you're craving a decent pork, chicken or even fish katsu curry, they have tofu as well. But just maybe keep it simple, they don't seem to do well with proportions and prices when it comes to extras. Vegetarian options: They have a tofu katsu curry, I'm not sure if the meal is vegan but it's certainly devoid of meat.
