Ok…. Here is my experience with Go Optic. The good and the bad. I wanted a pair of frames that I saw at my eye doctor's office, but found on the Go Optic site for $100 less. They were the only online store I could find them through. I read through all of the absolutely terrible reviews, and found that the common theme was that folks were upset that they paid extra for 2-3 day shipping and were then upset when the glasses didn’t show up in 2-3 days. That’s not how it works… you are just paying extra to have them shipped faster once they are finished, that does not change the 2-3 week lead time for them to actually make the glasses. You aren’t going to get custom made glasses from anywhere in 2-3 days, so people need to adjust their expectations. Since most of the reviews focused on this silly oversight, I decided to give them a shot despite other reviews detailing their lack of competence. I also liked the fact that I could get an insurance reimbursement if I used them as well. Aaaaand…. I did end up with a major issue. I put it my order, and a few hours later I happened to look at the invoice and noticed the prescription was input wrong! I chose to have them input the numbers from the actual prescription so I didn’t mess anything up, but somehow they entered it completely wrong. I immediately emailed the prescription again, and was assured that the corrections would be made and I would receive the correct lenses. I also did a live chat with someone who corrected the numbers on the invoice. Fast forward about 10 days earlier than expected! and I get the glasses and sure enough, they are the wrong prescription. They were clearly made to the original incorrect prescription on the invoice despite me calling, live chatting, and messaging them numerous times. How this happened after all of that, I have no idea. That being said, they did make it right in the end. I called and explained the situation, and was sent a label to return them free of charge. They received it, labeled it as a warranty issue not sure how a mistake on their part falls under warranty, and immediately sent them in for the lenses to be fixed. They shipped them back out in about a week and this time they were perfect! I was nervous about ordering Eyezen lenses online because there are usually specific measurements like pupil height that need to be made, but their in house formula for determining this worked out well for me. The lenses are well made, I love the frames, and I had no other issues. So all in all, it worked out in the end. I could have done without the frustrating mistake on their part, but appreciated their willingness to correct the issue without hassle.
Terrible company, deceiving, their refund policy is worded in a manner that mentions "free shipping" however there is no free shipping at all . To return a clip on, I have had to spend hours and days telling them that they offered "free shipping on returns" which is NOT true. The clip on itself is terrible quality, you can not see anything with them. at the end of the day, the return policy is so charged with fees and time that it is impossible to return without loosing more money. Please dont purchase anything on this site!
would not recommend. this was my first time ever ordering glasses online, i thought what could go wrong. but the glasses I got were so cheap plastic feeling, the lenses were so thick and have a constant blue glare on them. they tell me that's the "anti-glare and blue light" coating, but i have gotten that on every pair of glasses my whole life and never had lenses with a blue glare on them like this. just weird and they only do partial refunds so its just a waste of money.
Wish I would’ve read the reviews before I purchased from here. Terrible customer service. Ordered a pair of non-prescription sun glasses that were supposed to be delivered in 1-5 days, and they haven’t even shipped yet, 5 days later. They won’t ship for at LEAST another 3 days. Totally would not have ordered from them had this been the case, and when you try to cancel, they want to issue a cancellation fee. Absolutely awful customer service, please do not buy from them!
Used the website to find and purchase my new pair of versace bifocals. They have a huge selection and prices are not to bad. The process was easy to enter in prescription details. Paid and got conformation email right away, with receipt. Now I'm just waiting for my new glasses to come in the mail. I will update my review in a week or two. I see tons of negative reviews on Google but alot of 5 star reviews on trust pilot so I'm hopeful. My new versace bifocals came in yesterday. Earlier then the expected date. They are even nicer in person than the pictures. They are certified authentic by versace with their own card of authenticity and serial numbers. They also sent all the accessories like the original case original lense wiping cloth and a versace booklet, even the original plastic lenses that came inside the frames. They added a go-optic cleaning cloth. I am highly impressed and extremely happy with my purchase. The prescription is perfect. I would highly recommend go-optic to anyone who plans on buying a new pair of glasses. I saw nothing but negative reviews on Google about the company. On other review sites the company has good reviews and some negative. But, my experience was a very good one and I'll definitely be using go-optic again.
I ordered from Go-Optic to support a company other than Amazon, and realized that I should have stuck with Amazon. It's been 2 weeks and it's still saying that it's going to ship, and they can't provide a projected ship date. If I try to cancel the order it will be a 10% restocking fee for something they haven't sent. This is a company to avoid.
I placed an order for a pair of glasses that were on their website. The next day my order was canceled because the frames were discontinued. Why would they have items still on the website if they’re discontinued??? Now I have to wait to get my money back when they shouldn’t have had to item available to purchase in the first place.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!! So disappointed! Had a hard time finding glasses with 120 mm temple measurement for my son. Ordered multiple pairs on go-optic that they canceled saying they were discontinued. Finally an order went through and they sent me glasses with 125 mm temple measurement that are all scuffed up. I would attempt to return them but I've read terrible terrible things about their customer service so I am cutting my losses.
Ignore their 30 day returns. There’s a 15% penalty plus $10 shipping Can’t believe I didn’t check for reviews before buying from this vendor.
Not worth the effort. I ordered a pair of glass frames which I didn't like and returned them for another pair, paying my postage which is reasonable. I ordered a second pair that were on backorder for two months and finally cancelled my order. As a result I was charged a 15% restocking fee for my first returned frame.
