Sold us a "new" dishwasher that was dented like it had fallen off a truck and was wet/dirty inside. They refused to replace it because we signed when the delivery person, who was in a hurry, dropped it off in a completely damage free boxclearly it was packaged with the damage and did not sustain it during shipment. I 100% advise you to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHADY COMPANY!
Bought a two-drawer, under-cabinet freezer from Goedecker's to store popsicles for parties. The center bar that separates the top drawer from the bottom drawer randomly detached from the left side preventing either drawer from closing without manual intervention. I reached out to them for help for this manufacture defect, and they told me to reach out to the manufacturer, which I did, who then told me that it was the problem of the dealer, Goedecker's. Their customer support is abhorent with short one sentence email replies, no assistance, nothing. Goedeker's doesn't stand by their product, and they definitely don't stand by their customers.
Horrible customer service. Service was great when we bought our items in July but since they have been bought out it’s been a nightmare! 3 items are in the wharehouse and one item which was continuously put on backorder was cancelled because we found the item at Lowes! We got it in 6 days!!!! We have tried for 2 weeks to get our 3 items delivered. No action has been taken. We said we’ll come pick up the items in the St. Charles wharehouse still no response.
On September 2, 2018, I spent over $3,000 at Goedeker's for a KitchenAid refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, a generic braided dishwasher connector, and a white glove delivery. On September 3, 2018, I received an email explaining that the delivery of the refrigerator would be delayed and would not ship out until October 8, 2018. I received a duplicate email on September 7, 2018 and again on September 14, 2018, September 19, 2018, and September 28, 2018. At some point mid-September, I called Goedeker's regarding the delivery of the items that were not delayed. I was informed that, although the emails I received did not specify all items being delayed, that was the case and I would not receive anything until October. On October 10 or 11, the items arrived. Although I paid for white glove service, Goedeker's personnel only took the refrigerator out of the box, not the microwave or dishwasher. On Saturday, October 13, I removed the microwave and dishwasher from their boxes, and the braided dishwasher connector from its bag. I immediately noticed that the microwave was missing a screw and that the dishwasher had a leak yes, leaking water while still partially in the box. The dishwasher had damage to the front door panel in several places and as the day wore on I found out that it had a major leak at the bottom sump pump or motor and that even the braided dishwasher connector had a leak. On October 13, 2018, I sent several pictures to a Customer Service Manager at Goedeker's, who I had received an email from previously in which he apologized for the rude behavior of one of their customer service representatives. I also called Goedeker's and spoke to this gentlemen, who assured me that the problems would be handled. He assured me that Goedeker's would contact me on October 15, 2018 to resolve the issue. On October 17, 2018, when I had still not heard from anyone at Goedeker's, I emailed the Customer Service Manager again. Although I never heard from the Customer Service Manager again, my email did prompt an email from Goedeker's Damage and Resolution Specialist. From October 17, 2018 to today, November 13, 2018, I have been going back and forth with Goedeker's Damage and Resolution Specialist. Per Goedeker's request, even though I wanted, and still want, a new dishwasher, since I paid for a new dishwasher, I agreed to have Goedeker have two KitchenAid service companies 11/3/2018 and 11/12/2018 come out. Both service technicians, from two different companies, told me it was up to Goedeker's to replace the unit. The second service technician 11/12/2018 called KitchenAid while at my house and the KitchenAid representative reiterated that it is Goedeker's responsibility to replace the unit. Also, while the second service technician was at my house, I called Goedeker's to share that the service company would not fix the dishwasher. The representative name and position unknown at Goedeker's I spoke to said that I should have been more careful in what I shared with the second technician, stating what I should have said. Both the service technician and I had the same takeaway, that the Goedeker's representative was asking me to lie to the service technician. As of today 11/13/2018, the issue is still not resolved. Goedeker's Damage and Resolution Specialist has informed me that the unit is now out of warranty something KitchenAid denies and it is my responsibility. Update 11/23/2018: Having the responsibility put entirely on my shoulders, I reached out to KitchenAid once again and explained the entire situation, detailing each step of the process and the many issues with Goedeker's. I spoke to some great people at KitchenAid who, after hearing my story, shared my angst towards Goedeker's, their policies, and their lack of taking responsibility. Although KitchenAid had no responsibility in doing so, they agreed to exchange my unit for a new one. The folks I spoke to were great; they put themselves in my shoes. High praise for KitchenAid and great disgust with Goedeker's.
I recently ordered a $670 electric Speed Queen dryer from Goedeker's. It arrived 2 weeks late. I didn't remove it from the box until our installer was ready to install—we had to reschedule because of the shipping delay. When we removed it from the box, we discovered significant damage: it appears it was hit by a forklift, then boxed up and shipped. Goedeker's is refusing to accept the return because I didn't report the damage within 48 hours of receiving the dryer. I am appalled by the business practices of this Christian company. Their mission statement couldn’t be more misleading: "Goedeker's Philosophy: We believe everything we do should be for the greater glory of God. Our priority is to serve our fellow man to the best of our ability. We want our customers to see Christ in us and in everything we do." Steve Goedeker, you are using the Lord's name is vain. DO NOT purchase from this company. They have treated me as if it's my problem that I received damaged product. My claim file is still open, I’m waiting on their final decision. I hope they will do the right thing. So far, the best they can do is offer me a $50 refund.
This company is great. I would order from them again in a heartbeat. I ordered a hard-to-find cabinet that was exactly what I needed, so I was happy to wait for the item COVID delays once I found it at Goedeker's. They provided regular shipping updates while I waited so I knew the item was still on it's way. After the wait, the item arrived but was damaged in shipping. I was anxious about what kind of service I would receive to remedy the situation, so I was extremely happy to find out that working with Tim at Goedeker's was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. He followed up with us and took care of the problem with little effort on our part and we had the replacement cabinet within a couple of weeks.
I read all the negative reviews, and the few positive reviews, and decided to take a chance on Goedeker’s because their prices were so much better than anywhere local. We were doing a kitchen renovation and went with new Whirlpool fridge, range, microwave, and dishwasher. Their prices were about 800$ cheaper than Lowes and Home Depot, and because we live in Jersey, we didn’t have to pay sales tax, another huge plus. Now, I read reviews ahead of time and knew that the average delivery time for Goedeker's is 1 month from order placement. Being as we didn’t need the appliances right away, that wasn’t an issue for us. If you need a replacement appliance ASAP, look elsewhere. After I placed my order, I called weekly for updates on my order and to stay on top of delivery. I worked with Sharon and Alyssia from customer service and both were helpful with updates and making sure my order was moving smoothly through the warehouse to shipping. My appliances were ordered June 7th and were delivered July 16th, 5 weeks total to receive my appliances, but to be fair, they were ready for delivery July 8th, but I was on vacation and had to reschedule. Now, I’ve read some horror stories about AM trucking, the free delivery service of Goedeker’s, but my experience was satisfactory. I had my contractor doing the hook up of my appliances, so the delivery guys simply brought everything into the room of my choice and let me unbox everything to look for damage the most nerve-racking part. All appliances were packaged well and there was no visable damage to any of the appliances. Now, everything has been hooked up and installed and is working well see pictures below. As an added bonus, during the order waiting period, I noticed the appliance prices had been lowered on Goedeker’s website since I had originally placed my order. I called and Goedeker’s offered me a 1-time price match. They refunded me 100$ in price match. I was very impressed with this. I don’t know if I just got lucky, but my experience with Goedeker’s and their shipping service AM Trucking was completely positive and I would consider ordering from them again knowing the caveats that there will be a 1 month wait time, and the buyer has to make sure to look over all items during delivery before they sign and accept them.
I whish a could give this company a lower rating. I ordered a $2,500 Bosch Island Hood and it was delivered damage with a big dent in the front side of the hood. When I contacted them, Lauren, a very unhelpful and condescending representative, informed me that I was passed the 48 hours period I had to report any damages. This product is over 100 lbs and I had to wait for my contractor to install it as we we're doing a full kitchen remodeling. I explained the situation and requested to speak to a supervisor but never heard back from her. They said her name is Kelly and she was in a meeting. I am a repeat customer and have purchased over $10,000 worth of merchandise from them. I have to pay for the shipping fee to send back the damage hood and they will also reduce my refund for their shipping fee of sending me a damage product. Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER do business with this company again.
Pros: Representatives are professional, patient, and polite. Product arrived earlier than expected. Cons: Lack of communication. Does not follow-up in terms of refunds. Sent the wrong color of the item I ordered Sn: This company drop ships meaning the manufacturer sends the item directly to you. They do not have the product in a warehouse of any sort. Given this, packaging may be a hit or miss. I got lucky I assume.
A damaged refrigerator was delivered, I sent photos of the damage hoping for their support to make it right. They claim they contacted Summit the manufacture and it is manufacturing not delivery damage. Look at the photos and make your assessment. They are trying to coerce me to accept a discount, repair parts or for me to pay return shipping costing me $155 plus insurance. I have never been treated this poorly by an online retailer before. You have a choice, I recommend purchasing from known retailers who treat customers fairly After some emails back and forth, a new refrigerator was sent after some weeks. Very slow delivery times...
