If you aren't wanting to spend a ton of money for somewhere to sleep, but still want something nice....this is the place! The rooms are decent...dated but clean, and you can tell maintenance does a good job trying to keep the place in good shape. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom has a window that you can actually open. You have to swipe your room key to get past security before getting on the elevator, so there's not a bunch of trouble running around the hallways. The Chinese restaurant has excellent food! The drinks at the bar are very reasonable, especially compared to the high price you'll pay at the strip. All the staff we interacted with, front desk, security, bartenders, cocktail waitresses, housekeeping, they were all very pleasant to deal with. Loved the selection of games, and the keno lounge is great. Will definitely stay here again!
Gold Coast Hotel and Casino is a great locals casino. It is not on the strip, but has most of the same casino activities. This is a great location to visit if you are not wanting the high pressure casinos and overwhelming glitz. Located near the strip so it is just a short dive if you are looking for a good place to stay and still visit the strip.
Had an excellent stay at the Gold Coast in Vegas! The rooms were both comfortable and spotless, ensuring a peaceful rest each night. Cozy, but could use a slight remodel, beds were clean and comfortable. The casino vibe was lively and fun, and the dining options did not disappoint. A memorable trip, highly recommended! Will be back.Rooms: 4/5
1 1/2 minute read: GOLD COAST HOTEL & CASINO, what can I say. For starters, I love them. Why? It’s a VEGAS cultural thing. I’ve been coming to Vegas since the RAT PACK ruled the Strip. So, what does that have to do with GOLD COAST? Plenty! The GOLD COAST HOTEL AND CASINO is not THAT ancient but is still an iconic original, predating your newer, fan-dangled, hard-to-find-parking casinos on the Blvd. And speaking of parking, you won’t have that problem at the GOLD COAST. The GOLD COAST offers competitive room accommodations, offers good dinning, and the same exciting gaming as the much larger casino/hotels all over Vegas. GOLD COAST HOTEL & CASINO has got to be one, if not the best pick for me, to choose as my favorite. On my updated review, I will elaborate more by word & photos. Thanks
If we knew how bad it was would have never stayed at this hotel. The room design is the most peculiar we ever seen, you enter the room and hit the beds and the bathroom is at the end of the room. Bathroom is always at the entrance at every hotel we stayed. The ac controller is so low and tiny. The worst was that the windows did not close properly and due to the wind at eight floor, literally you hear the wind howling through the room and corridor. Air conditioning in the casino is absolutely disaster, all of us we ended up sick with fever and scratchy throats. The cake it took on last day early morning at 7:12am when the fire alarm went off. For the next almost one hour and a half the alarm was beeping, and between stops human voice will tell us that the source of the fire alarm is being investigated. Absolutely nightmare!!!
Loved the proximity to the Allegiant stadium, airport, and the strip. The rooms were clean and renovated, and loved that it had a Starbucks downstairs. The only down sides we didn’t particularly enjoy were the fact that they still allow cigarette smoking in the casino and in the hotel in general. Made us nauseous to where we didn’t wanna be in the casino, and they had lost our reservation upon arrival so it took a long time to sort it out. Cheap place to stay and overall pretty good experience except those two things.
Originally I'd have given a 4 star for the overall experience but... the smoke, the ashes embedded in the floor, the smell of it penetrating everything you do inside the hotel. Not even the air purification can save it. It loses a star for that and the parents that take their children here must love second hand smoking. It loses another star due to a family coming into the elevator with me and another random person fully toking a cigar. I'd hate to blame the quality of hotel on the tact/respect of rules from other patrons but that seriously irked me acting like they bought the most expensive room here disregarding the rules. Rooms: Rooms: Every morning I had to remind myself that I asked for a Single Deluxe room and got booked for a double bed room 2-3 weeks in advance. The other bed was not used by me at all. The charge port was not accesible under the wiring, cleaning staff really looked like they did all they could before I came. 2 handles in the room for wardrobe/drawers were loose with less than stellar AC/Drapes situation. Either hear the loud AC flip the [Locked] drapes every 5 seconds or suffer a heat stroke. I take a look at the Deluxe rooms provided in the picture and said "It must be nice" as I gaze out my window to see nothing but the roof filled with satellites and other electrical fixtures/industrial compenents of the hotel. Overall, livable and decent for the price but not what I paid for. Food & drinks: I cant in good faith give a one star because Ping Pang Pong is the saving grace for it along with extremely nice security/staffMinus the one disgruntled worker when I checked out Amazing food from their kitchen and the dimsum is prime. Noteworthy details: Service: I didn't ask for anything extra so I cannot judge accurately, staff didn't go out of their way either nor did they debilitate me. Location: I wouldn't say it's the best since you have to still take a vehicle to cross the freeway somehow, if only there was a pedestrian bridge to the strip it would be a 4 star at least. I love the fact the Wahoo diner is open late though, nice place to meet strangers who also wanted to get some grub.
the service seems fine, the rooms are outdated yes, but the parking is 5 outta 5 considering the other b.s. you would have to deal with at other casinos. i dont know if it was just my room which the a/c was mostly a miss and we were sweating very bad. after a day later and understanding how the a/c system works it did improve drastically. maybe if there was a small fridge/microwave, new bathroom door then i'd give it higher points. parking is 2nd to none, has a sports book, and other nice places to eat and things to do. oh yeah the toilet could use a boost in the time it takes to fill the tank back up. if they fix some minor things then i say they could easily be a 4 star. oh there is a noticeably odor about it as someone who walks in for the first time, but one gets use to it. i think 3 stars for the most part and if they improve minor things then they could see more 4 stars.
