I can't say enough good things about this place! The food at The Grille was delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. And the room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. We can't wait to come back again! Thank you for a great experience!Rooms: 5/5
Not as smoky as reviews are stressing. Smells good when you walk in and not noticeable in the room, but can smell staleness in the hallway after leaving our room. Nothing terrible though. Hot tub was closed, pool open and clean. Breakfast options were great and large portions. Good location to get to places. Beds were hard but rooms were clean. Bowling alley was great options with kids.
The room itself was good, comfortable bed, all needed items present. However, despite the room being non smoking, the smell of cigarettes was always there, especially noticable during the night. The service very friendly, the included breakfast was alright. Bowling was very fun
FYI this hotel is a casino-hotel. As you walk in through the main entrance, hotel section is on the left of reception and casino is on the right of reception. You walk through the casino section to go to the breakfast restaurant the grill. Pros: - management: excellent and very attentive to feedback. - staff: nice - cleanliness: great, minus a few points which were addressed. - comfort: acceptable beds - breakfast: nice warm breakfast. Give you 4 options eggs/hashed brown/meat, OR Pancake OR Oatmeal. Would have been nice to offer a substitute for those not wanting the meat in the first breakfast option replace with extra eggs or oatmeal or sth Cons: - smoke: although all rooms are labelled non-smoking, there is definitely smell of cigarette smoke in hallways and even sometimes within the rooms, possibly owing to spreading through the air conditioning. - rooms are not sound proof and you can hear doors slamming and may even hear conversations of neighbors next door.
So the AC fan sounded like a card in the spokes of a Bike. No cleaning of the rooms while we were there unless you asked for it, but wait you get charged after you leave for cleaning the room each day. Floor carpet was so dirty it left dirt stains all over our 11 month old as she crawled around on the floor. Best thing of all on day of check out which is 11, maid service decided at 8:30 we should have been gone and decided to enter the room without knocking. Bathroom sink leaked out on the bathroom floor so every time we turned the water on the floor got wet and again our 11 month old got into that. Toilet would run when you flushed so shake the handle.
The smoke smell is really bad and it even got into the room through the a/c unit. The a/c doesn’t work well but works. The light on the alarm clock is so bright, I had to put a towel over it so I could sleep. Early this morning, the “entry” light turned on by itself and I can’t get it to turn off. On a good note, the tv was nice. The staff seem like you’re bothering them if you have a question or need anything there is no housekeeping after like 1:00pm. Oh, and don’t bother with the free breakfast - you get 4 choices understandable but the two hubby and I got were pretty much inedible plus they seat everyone who has their vouchers right by the front door so you get to have the smoke from the casino with your food.
Pretty good for the money. Beds are a little stiff but overall comfortable. Room is clean. It's in the casino so some cigarette smell is present but not overwhelming in our room on the third floor.Rooms: 4/5
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT STAY HERE! This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. If I could give it 0 stars, I would! From the second you walk in, the smell of smoke is suffocating. The building itself feels very gross and off-putting. In the room, the walls are paper thin. As soon as I stepped in, the room reeked of cigarettes and sewage. I feel physically sick to my stomach. I had to go to Walmart to buy air freshener to last the stay here. Unfortunately my stay is non-refundable, so don’t make the same mistake I did. Please save yourself the cigarette headache and stay somewhere else!
Well they put me at the farthest corner of the hotel, third floor across, from elevator vending and housekeeping with a lovely view if the RV parking. I walk with a cane BTW. Most noisy room they had. Not pets allowed but dog barking down the hall at night. I called the desk they "sent security". Dog barking next morning, I called and complained again. The were allowed to keep the dog there. Not real impressed...oh and the male bartender served my male friend and didn't serve me. I had to flag him back and he was rude to me saying I should have said something. Really never gave me a chance. And even though I was right across from House keeping, my room was Not serviced. Rooms: Nice room, but lumpy pillows. Walkability: Don't go if you are on a cane...they don't care. Food & drinks: One of the bartenders was a jerk but Vickie was awesome.
To counter a few other reviews. Firstly the bed, if it’s a bad bed/pillows I’ll always wake up with a raging headache, I woke up this morning with no headache so a big for the bed and pillows. Secondly the smoke, I hate the smell of ciggys after quitting 10 years ago, I had no issue with the smell here, both in my room or in the hallway. Thirdly the shower was the perfect pressure, no idea why people mentioned it was too strong, and I’m currently sunburnt. On top of that Service was amazing and my room nice and clean!
