If I could give zero I would. I was a member of rush gym. It goes without saying that they are not open 24 hours, so I cannot use them anymore. But I called last month to cancel my membership and they would not do it said I had to come in. So I went in, now they want to charge me another 30 days. I am fed up. They did not even have a good email address, the one they said was mine never used. They’ve received more than 2 years where I could not use the membership because of my back, I’m moving and there is no golds gym at my new place thank goodness I used to go in to Rush between midnight and 4am. When I could take my take my time, but that was before my back surgery. What I really mad about was I called at beginning of August, if I was told back then about a “bonus” month I would not be so upset, enough is enough. Avoid this gym at all costs In response to managers “reply “ to “forcing” customers to purchase 30 more days than they want or need. Looks like this gym needs a the BBB to review its business practices, making it difficult or impossible to cancel any memberships is not right. This is not the Soviet Union. Making impossible to cancel memberships, avoid this gym, if you must join one, go somewhere else Stilt trying to get membership canceled, I’m terrified of walking into this place that I will slip and fall because I am mobility challenge. Last time I went in I almost fell with the amount of water left on the floor after they mopped. They’ve had more than a year of my money with out me using facilities cancel my membership and stop harassing me manager of this gym.
Was visiting my brother my wife and I did a day a pass at this Golds. I had a great workout the gym was very clean. Locker ooms were clean staff was friendly. I will come back to this gyn next time I visit my family.
Been a member since Jan 2023 Love it here! Gym is clean, lots of equipment, staff and instructors are super friendly and lots of classes to choose from. So glad I joined!
Came here to workout and people just sat on the machines on their phone with their bags near the machines when it’s the only machine in there to hit a certain area. I waited on this machine for at least 30 minutes and the woman didn’t move. They need to push the policies and rules here more.
Very energetic desk attendant found an issue with my membership card.. she called a gentleman over who said he would look into it. Left my Silver Sneakers card with him while I worked out. He found me during my workout and said they had an issue on their end but he would not be able to fix it until Tuesday. He said my card was at the desk and reminded me to pick it up when I left. He said I was all set up. Venue was very clean and great atmosphere to workout.!
Was looking for a gym to join on the advice of my physical therapist, and Gold’s went out of their way to show me equipment safe to use with my injury and how to use it correctly. Not too crowded, even on a Saturday morning, so lots of space to keep distance from other members. Most people wearing masks. No pressure to sign up after my free day pass, and all of my many questions were answered. I was going to check out another gym closer to home before I decided, but ended up signing up for Gold’s today. I haven’t been in a gym in 2 years, and I am so excited to be joining this one!
I’ve been going a few months now and everyone is very friendly. Andrew is very helpful and is eager to help me with my goals to lose weight.
haven't really had any issues but have only been going for about a month and not quite looking to cancel my membership as others have stated issues with. hours seem to work well even though it's not 24 hours. Staff isn't very engaging, but I haven't really needed to interact much.
While the customer service is phenomenal, cleanliness leaves some to be desired. Used tissues are littered across the gym, and the locker room was a complete mess with plastic wrappers, bottles, etc. There is also a small number of popular pieces of equipment. 2 squat racks that are always occupied, and one designated area for deadlifting. Meanwhile, there are 56 treadmills, though I’ve only seen maybe 2 or 3 used at once.
This is the first gym I’ve ever had a membership with and I’m fairly satisfied with it. I like the option to use the Lady’s gym. Some equipment looks like it’s time to be replaced or needs maintenance. I appreciate the choice of classes but wish they had an evening yoga class. Overall, I get great use out of this gym and all the staff seems friendly.
