Golden Bonbon nougat is the confectionary masterpiece of three generations of Mazzucco family.
Originally from Piemonte, northern Italy, grandfather Giuseppe Mazzucco was a master pastry chef in Asti. He developed a secret and highly-prized technique involving an extensive nine-hour process. Giuseppe’s unique recipe established the family’s reputation as highly respected artisans of torrone, the classic Italian nougat.
Giuseppe’s son Riccardo brought the family’s Italian tradition to Australia. His successful nougat manufacturing business in Perth, Western Australia was an early pioneer in introducing the traditional Italian confection to the Australian market. In 1992, Riccardo established Golden Bonbon in Vancouver, Canada. Led by the next generation, Golden Bonbon is the living heritage of the family’s proud tradition. It continues to produce quality gourmet nougat in North America for discerning palates.
