Really nice shoe store, they carry the Mephisto brand which I have been looking for for a while. You’re nice young lady helped me find the perfect pair. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name. She’s cashier number four. She was super nice and very helpful.
They carry high-quality, ultra-comfortable shoe brands. Prices are steep, but the shoes they sell are worth it. They are investments. I bought 2 pairs of boots and spent almost $400. Worth it for the quality and comfort. The salespeople are helpful, and there was a handful available to help, which was nice, as the store was particularly busy when I visited, and I didn't have to wait for service.
The staff and owners are amazing. Not only do they have high quality products, but they stand behind them as well. I had purchased a pair of shoes that developed a manufacturer defect after about 4 months of use and they examined and replaced them no questions asked! This type of support is rare these days!
Decent prices. They have Chacos, Birkenstocks, Uggs, Sanuks....all my favs! Very friendly and helpful staff.
Golden Shoes are ok, not the price, because price can fit for the diamond shoes, but there's some very good stuff anyway, so thank you!
Very small selection for children’s shoes, but more importantly, unfriendly staff. As we surveyed the few boots and shoes they did have for our boys, one employee stood in front of the display and refused to let us look without her hovering. She stood silently less than a foot from us and made us all feel uncomfortable.
I had such a great experience here getting boots for the TC winter. Gus was super helpful and heard exactly what I needed to narrow down the options. Prices are competitive & it feels great to shop and support local businesses in downtown. Pro tip: go earlier in the day for a quieter and more one-on-one experience. Thanks Golden Shoes!
The customer service at Golden Shoes is excellent. We had a representative sit with us for 30 minutes trying on different shoes and styles. She laced our shoes up for us and was extremely patient. Yet she was award as my wife and I walked out with two pairs of shoes each. Also, they had a great sale on Birkenstock shoes $90. I can't recommend them enough. If you are the market for a new pair, look no further than Golden Shoes!
My husband and I went on a busy Saturday morning and the service was excellent! Great selection of shoes and everyone was very knowledgeable about the care for their shoes. Will be back again.
First time Traverse City visitor from Texas, and I showed up with a five year old without appropriate footwear. They didn't have the children's UGGS I was seeking, but the store representative handed me a pair of winter socks for my daughter and insisted I take them so that her feet kept warm. This goes beyond customer service, more appropriately kindness and generosity. This will be my go-to store for my annual trips to Michigan. I will never forget this experience.
