My boys and I had a great private surfing lesson with Nick! He was very patient and his instruction was very clear. He had us practice each step on the beach and judged the surf conditions perfectly for our level, so we were all standing up on our boards in no time! My 12-year-old boys weren't excited about the surprise surfing lesson at first, but by the end they loved it and it's their most memorable experience of our weekend in LA. When I was first inquiring about surfing lessons, they were very communicative and willing to work something out that would be perfect for us. I definitely recommend them!
Alex has been an exceptional surf instructor! I booked a lesson for my family of 5 and he got to know each of us and personalized his lesson for each of us based on our broad level and needs. His expertise is outstanding and he is able to give such a technical feedback that all of us got specific tips to help us improve during his lesson. In addition, he kept my children in sight at all time and made me feel very safe even with my youngest one. We can’t wait to come back to Venice Beach to take more lesson with him!!! Thanks Alex
Alex was a great instructor and overall it was a great experience. The wetsuits could've been better quality for the price paid, but the wetsuits were still able to keep us warm and allow us to focus on surfing. We had such a good time that we had a second lesson a couple days after. I would definitely recommend Golden Wave if you're interested in surf lessons and having some fun surfing.
I had such a wonderful time surfing with Diego! He’s so patient and knowledgeable. He is encouraging and has chill energy that works so well as a teacher. Diego is great at breaking down the method to surf so anyone can learn. He has boards and wetsuits and everything you need to have the best time. Can’t wait to take more lessons with him and be a pro!
We had the best time learning to surf today! Our instructor was patient and encouraging. This was our first time surfing. It was myself and my two children, ages 10 and 12. We all ended up riding a wave. It was absolutely memorable. This surf school is run by a very kind man who is flexible and fun. I highly recommend you go through this company for your surf lessons or just a wonderful one time experience.
Dan and Alex were amazing. They coached us at different levels. My friends were beginners and I had surfed before. So teaching my friends the basics and teaching me to watch the wave sets took patience. Golden Wave instructors are flexible, enthusiastic and really love doing what they do and it truly shows!
Diego was very nice and helpful. Surfing is not easy but they do a good job motivating. I thought it was going to be in Malibu but it’s actually in Venice teaching Malibu style. Great price but you get what you pay for soft top boards mid waves etc. Very cool people tho
Super highly recommend this surf lesson! We felt safe, had a ton of fun, and our teacher came prepped with all the equipment we needed. Our entire group of beginners was able to stand up on the board by the end of the 2 hour lesson. 10/10!
It was complicated to get to the meeting point. We were not notified that it had changed location, so we had to walk and got 30 min late. Beside that technical point, we loved the experience. Felipe is a great instructor and as beginners we truly appreciated it ! Couldn’t have ask for a better instructor. Thanks :
