With a slightly friendlier and more helpful staff and better maintenance of equipment, I’d give them 5-stars. The locker rooms are clean which is important to me. The layout of the gym is well thought out. Only about half the bikes in the cycle room work properly. UPDATE: Only about half the bikes function correctly, so make sure you get to class early. Also, the air conditioner in some parts of the building has been out for 3 weeks. The instructors are all amazing.
The worst experience I have ever had. GREG a guy who works there came and got me and my kids 2 minutes after I walked in and told me I had to pay for a day pass when I have been a member at this gym for over 5 years. I told him I would pay for my kids who are under 13 on my way out ; who usually go to the day care but daycare being closed and said no I would have to pay immediately. I can pay for a drink through my account but me being a member and not having to pay for my kids who are part of my plan to begin with? I will be canceling my membership and I don’t recommend anyone coming to this location! I walked out and I won’t be returning with this behavior. Raising his voice and walking up to me and my kids like we committed a crime. I don’t know who hired him or thinks this type of behavior is appropriate. Not to mention I am pretty sure he had his own children with him as well… if I could give 0 starts I would. I will gladly pay more at a gym where people are actually FRIENDLY or maybe even pretend…
One of my favorite gyms-They have two floors so there’s always machines and space available even when it’s crowded. The staff is friendly and laid back, they don’t stress about closing time and push everyone out the door like at Arboretum- they keep the music on and kindly make rounds when they’re closed to let you know. The abs section is great and they have a pool. I hope one day they go back to 24 hours
I’ve been a member of this gym for several years and love it! The staff is friendly and the equipment is always maintained. Don’t be intimidated by the reputation of this body builder gym, as it’s a friendly environment and has EVERYTHING you need for fitness.
Went to go workout, and was told my gold’s gym membership wasn’t accepted at the gold’s gym. And I would have the pay the same amount as someone who doesn’t have a gym membership. All I can say what a scam! Don’t waste your money at golds gym they sale as you can go to any golds gym online which is how I purchased my membership and their nothing that says your membership isn’t valid at all golds gym.
I would pay close attention when signing up. Luckily when I disputed this with my bank upon being charged after a canceled membership, I won. It's sad that there are still companies out here like Gold's scamming people. So glad I'm back at the YMCA. Be verrrrry careful!.... EDITING TO REPLY TO RESPONSE: My bank sided with me on both claims so you may want to check your records. Obviously, I did my part and Gold's didn't do theirs. I reached out directly to the branch and was just pushed to the side like "Yep! We got another one!"....until you didn't.
Super nice/ helpful staff. Just started with the trainer Tyler M. He’s super cool and knowledgeable. Everyone here is really nice. I meet someone new every time I go in. They have literally everything you ever wanted out of gym. I’ve been to a few different gyms and this one is by far the best one I’ve ever been to. If you want to bodybuild…. It’s perfect… if you want to lose weight… it’s perfect… if you want to powerlift…. It’s perfect…. If your an athlete… it’s perfect… if you need advice… it’s perfect. 11/10 would recommend.
I love this gym. Everyone is always so nice and down to earth. I've lost another 20 pounds since starting my membership here and my health is greatly improving. A very motivating and welcoming place. If you have goals you'll reach them here
Horrible customer service. I felt like I was being sold a Time-Share. Sales people are too aggressive and rude. I do not feel comfortable going to such a place. see 2nd edit for the good part Edit: It was, in my opinion, a horrible experience. I don’t feel comfortable with how I was treated. After reading all the 1 Star reviews I feel very very lucky to have avoided this Gym. Please leave me alone. Edit 2- My Exact text message to your employee: Please STOP repeatedly calling and texting me. I did not know that I would be harassed by you just because I signed up for a 7 day trial. I do not feel comfortable ever going to this gym because of how YOU won't stop contacting me. STOP. ————— After THAT very clear text message. He immediately texted me back this response instead of just leaving me alone: Ma'am I am a salesman it is my job to get you a gym membership at a good rate. If you weren't interested all you have to say is "STOP" and it will opt you out of receiving text. This is NOT harassment this is called "sales", :. ——————
