I live two blocks away and have always gladly supported the business here. We had a very bad experience today and will never be back. My partner ordered a burrito without beans and onions and we also ordered two other burritos. The order that we got - the burrito that was ordered without the ingredients above had beans and onions for sure in it. Clearly seen after the first bite. I sent my son back to get the order corrected. He came home and told me that they said it has no beans in it. It was five minutes before closing and I had to rush over and tell them that it did have beans. They said the wrapper saying it didn't have those ingredients must have been on the wrong burrito. Except, all three of the burritos had beans, so that's not true. I asked why they told my son it didn't have beans after he brought it back. The young man at the counter said it's my son's fault for not handing them the burrito. I told him they could have asked to see it. Instead they just told him he was wrong without further clarifying. They made the burrito again and gave it to me. I brought it home - it has ALL the ingredients we asked not to have in it. Beans, onions, the whole deal. It's really upsetting to be treated like this by a local business. As I explained to the staff, my partner has a disability that affects their mobility, which makes it difficult for them to continually return to get the order corrected, which is another reason why it's so frustrating for my son to be ignored when he returned with the order. To have them make it wrong AGAIN - there is no way that was on accident.

Best carnitas burrito ever!!! Tacos and breakfast burritos are great too. 2023 update: I moved away from Portland and didn’t have Gonzalez Taqueria for two long years. Went back for a visit this summer and it was as good as ever!! Same family serving up the same great food. Their hours are pretty limited but that’s how you know they do great business with regulars.

Had combo plate barbacoa and side of guacamole and it's amazing and great staff.Food: 5/5

Atmosphere got a low score because it's a food truck in a parking lot. There are a few tables outside but I prefer to take mine to go but man is their food great!Food: 5/5

Best carnitas burrito in Portland—possibly the country, maybe even the world! All the food is extremely delicious, very nice staff, amazing food, absolutely wonderful spot. Can't recommend them enough.

OMG so yummy! So far I've had only rice addictive and tacos... chicken, asada and carnitas and all were simply perfection! From the delicious food to the kind service and the incredibly affordable menu this is my new favorite taco truck! EDIT: I can't believe I forgot the corn tortillas... soft and thick double stacked to catch all the loveliness! EDIT again: Today I had the Asada burrito and my life is changed. Perfectly seasoned, big as a truck, a soft but toasty?! pillow of a tortilla. And for only $7??? My mouth and my wallet hasn't been this happy in a long time!!

Really good carnitas burrito. Salsas were great - I liked the avocado one a lot. Nice portion and lots of meat.

One of the best burritos I've had in a really long time. the carnitas was perfect; not too greasy, not too dry. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the sauce was super spicy and delicious. The only thing that could have been better is I wish I had more of the spicier sauce. but I actually really appreciated that the woman gave me a back up less spicy option just in case so thoughtful!. Both of the sauces were delicious, anyway. 5 stars!
