What an unexpected gem! Our Uber driver had to drive around the block twice to find the place. Once we got inside, we were treated to great music with a lice DJ, an amazing eclectic atmosphere, and bartenders pouring quality drinks. We sat outside with our group of seven, enjoying music and watching another group laughing over a table game. I wish we had more time to hang out into the evening, but we had a concert to get. Next time we're in L.A. we will definitely visit again.
Recently came here on a random Sunday. Place still hits like it used to. It was fairly crowded for a Sunday but I still was able to get a table. I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and it has never failed me. A band was performing here which I believe happens every Sunday. The place is perfect to go with friends, significant other and even solo. Crowd is young to mid 30’s. I ordered food which I can’t remember the last time I did. It was really really good. I got the California burrito. Very tasty honestly. I, of course, will keep coming back here.
Great late night happy hour spot. Just went here when i was in town and some LA local friends said this was the place to go, and it didn't disappoint. The entrance is sooo cool! You walk into a room that looks like a living room with no door but surprise the entrance is a refrigerator. This place is a lot bigger than what it looks like from the outside. They have different rooms inside that are set up like you walked in someones living room in the 70's, and they also have an outside patio with a separate bar outside.
I like cocktails and atmosphere and they have perfect Saturday night with live musicService: 5/5
I used to love this place, but now they charge you 20% “automatic gratuity” and don’t tell you up front. I always tip on drinks but I don’t appreciate not having the choice. What if I received bad service? Also it’s wrong to do without letting the customer know before ordering multiple drinks. Idk. Seems shady. Like just pay your bartenders more and I’ll tip as I see fit. No need to put the burden on the customer/ force them to pay 20% gratuity ON DRINKS. Anyways, moving forward I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of bars in La that actually respect their customers with proper business practices.
This '70s themed bar is simply amazing! It took me back to when I was a kid at one of my parent's backyard parties, except now I can enjoy the drinks! ...and the drinks are great; all thoughtfully themed and delicious. The decor, the lighting, & the tunes will definitely give you all the feels of a "good time" in the '70s. The place gets packed fast so get there just a few minutes before they open so you can be sure to get in and get a seat. Have to say the staff were outstanding on a crowded Saturday night, in spite of so many patrons in the bar, we never had to wait very long for our drinks. We will definitely be back!
1st time here. Super dope 70s/ 80s vibes. The band Strange Hotels killing it all night. Great drinks, not too packed on a Sun night and overall just good vibes. Everyone looking to have fun and chill.Food: 5/5
I had an amazing experience at Davey Wayne’s during my recent trip to LA from Toronto. My friend and I decided to check it out on a whim, and we were blown away by the friendly atmosphere. The bouncer, Corey, greeted us with a smile and was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. He gave us a list of recommendations for places to visit in the city—all of which ended up being highlights of our trip. He also recommended we try the quesadillas from Davey’s and they were hands down the best quesadillas we’ve ever had. The food and drinks were excellent, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service we received from Corey. He was so friendly and personable with everyone who came into the bar, often striking up small conversations and making sure everyone felt welcome and appreciated. His positive energy was infectious and left everyone with a smile on their faces. We couldn’t have asked for a better bouncer/ host for our night out. Overall, I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a fun spot in LA. We can’t wait to come back!
Go for the atmosphere, stay for the overpriced drink, and mediocre service. A typical snobby LA bar with an even more pretentious staff. Met some cool people there but wasn't impressed by the over the top type about this wannabe speakeasy.Service: 2/5
Had one of those Hollywood experiences.... blurry nights drowned by tequila and a whole lot of other drinks... ended up here randomly but I am glad i did. Fun. Old-school. Lovely crowd... beautiful flavor to add to your life
