Bins are rotated out frequently. People are generally pretty nice to each other. If you spend enough time there you will find some great treasures. Children under 16 are not allowed bc it is dangerous for them. Broken glass can be found in the house ware bins so caution is always needed.
I've found some great stuff here and will definitely be coming back. It is chaotic and the "no kids" policy is in place for a reason! They are basically dumping things in the bins for you to pick through and I definitely encountered broken items that would be dangerous for children. This is not a responsible place to bring your kids, there are plenty of other thrift stores in the area that are family friendly. I saw other shoppers with gloves and would recommend that if you are visiting this location.
The outlets are great if you know the unofficial rules. 1. Be aware of your surroundings... If the staff are pushing out new bins into the aisles, stand to the side and wait for them to finish. If you try and "cut across traffic," they will put you in your place. 2. While they are changing out the bins it is done as a collective row, do not "dig in." You will get yelled at! When the entire section is ready to be shopped, a staff member will typically yell out, "Shop!" It's pretty easy to spot when a row is being swapped out because you will see a row of people waiting until the coast is clear. 3. No children under 16. To my understanding, this is for safety reasons. 5 minutes at the bins, and you'll see why. There is plenty of broken glass and hazardous objects. It's typical to move an object to the side and see shards of broken glassware, rogue knives, etc. Lots of people wear gloves for this reason. I definitely suggest moving objects carefully for this reason, as you don't know the hidden objects underneath. 4. Everything is sold by weight. The price per pound is different depending on what you buy. Let's pretend 1 pound of clothes is $2, knick knacks are $1/pound. Depending on who checks you out, sometimes they will lump the clothes and knickknacks to be fast, but will charge you the higher price per pound. Keep an eye out and separate your two categories to prevent this. 5. Typically people "park their carts" either right by checkout or on the far wall. Usually, people will grab a handful of items and walk back to their cart to drop it off. Shop, drop off, repeat. I'm unsure if you're allowed to bring your cart along with you throughout the bins, but I would suggest not to because it takes up alot of space and disrupts customer flow. 6. Bring your own reusable bags as they don't give you any at checkout. 7. If you need to bring your cart out to the parking lot, you will have to leave your ID at the cash register.
Well run with consistent changing of bins/boats. Courteous personnel. One lady in particular, whose name I don't remember, went out of her way to be helpful and kind.
This is a good "Bins" location. Relatively clean and the staff are nice, as long as you don't break the rules! Make sure you understand what those rules are before shopping or you might get publicly yelled at. NO KIDS. Don't try to bring your kids here thinking there will be an exception - there won't be and I support the rule. These bins are not clean, some have broken glass, sharp object, etc in them. It is not safe for adults, much less for children! Be careful picking thru the bins b/c, while items are sorted clothing, shoes, toys, other no one goes in there to check for dangerous objects. I appreciate the clean bathrooms and the clientele are not too bad...some are pushy and shove to get what they want but generally speaking most are polite. Also, don't forget to bring a bag/basket to take your items to your car - otherwise they will ask for an ID to take your cart out and return it to you once you return their cart inside.
I used to love shopping at the bins. Great finds and saves items from filling up the landfills. Couple years ago I was able to buy a whole dish set for $5. The guy told me that since I was buying the set it was $5. It was so great knowing we could save things from the landfill. Now days you can’t get good deals like that. It is sad that they keep hiking up the prices recently linens went up from $1.29/lb to $1.69/lb It is both sad and sickening that all the items not bought go straight into the landfill. Why not lower the prices and see things go to good use? I often have to put items back as they are too expensive for the weight.
First time I walked in I was overwhelmed and caught off guard but I soon fell in love with how much I could find here for the cheapest of prices. Plus there is a little competitiveness to it all. I love it here, my husband hates it though because it's too much going on at once.
ANOTHER MAN'S TRASH IS ANOTHER MAN'S TREASURE A pleasant surprise Everytime I go! They have reasonable prices on EVERY THING. I paid $13.00 for all these items in the pictures. Be prepared to stand, walk around and looking into bin's for first serve first come. Clean environment. Some employees are a little grumpy but most are helpful and nice. But,, you really are on your own when it comes to finding your merchandise!!
I guess because all they do is handle garbage all day, this place allows it's employees to treat customers like garbage to make them feel better about themselves. It's disgusting and dangerous, with broken glass and sharp objects everywhere. Hopefully if you're lucky enough to find something good sorting through their dumpsters, you will kowtow enough to get checked out without bringing home aids from all the cuts from the glass that also cut everyone else as they picked through before you.
This is a pretty good outlet store - I’m comparing it to the outlet stores in Denver. It’s clean and well managed. I visit twice a week if possible. I find some pretty great things sometimes. There are pros and cons though. Pros: Clean, well organized and staff keeps folks under control. No kids allowed for safety reasons and it’s a good rule. Don’t take it personal. Cons: Staff openly smoking Pot in the parking lot, walk back into the store smelling like a party and want to help check me out at the cash register. The pot isn’t helping their math skills. I ALWAYS question the weight of my stuff. You should too. Hey…. I’m on board with smoking pot legally in Colorado, but it’s not legal smoking pot in public and I’m thinking the staff probably shouldn’t be smoking at work either. Watch your stuff in your cart too. The staff isn’t that’s for sure! Theft is a problem here.
