I just visited the marina yesterday. Gas prices were reasonable. I was alarmed by the large amount of weeds. Surprised the sailboat infront of us even made it to their boat slip also weeds right to the surface. Was looking forward to a restaurant with outdoor seating on the water and only found a food truck. Such a wasted opportunity. The new docks are nice, but the weeds are out of control. Any plans to clean it up?!? Won’t be going back because it’s actually scary.
Our family rented one of the cabins Sept 2021 2Adults 3 children small as expected, it was very clean, small fridge stored more than we realized it would. The kids spent the mornings fishing, swimming3 seperate pools well maintained and we brought our projector and watched movies, the kids really like this park. We may visit again if they have trailers for rent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The fishing is great especially for kids, the place is not bad with lots to do, but the staff seems to be not informed on much, the dump is in a weird spot thats hard for larger rvs to get to, also it's on the passenger side where ours was on the drivers...a neighbor said they got stuff stolen and when they went to ask for help, the staff just said "it happens sometimes"... our fire pit was full of garbage when we arrived and we asked for it to be cleaned, they said okay but never did. We were there for 7 days...garbage was there when we left. We really did like the stuff there but it seems like the staff don't care too much.
Had a nice visit with family. Very nice park, kept clean and staff are friendly. Only one problem trailer behind us was partying til 4 a.m. and security didn't seem to do anything.
Goreski's is a park not to be missed. The facilities are amazing, outdone only by the incredible staff and outshone by the friendliest bunch of neighbors you would ever hope to find. We love it. Our children love it. Our grandchildren love it most.
Visiting friends who just installed their new trailer home on the property. Friendly, lots of kids. Quiet and quaint, community feel. Beach area, pools, food truck, activities like dances and baseball. Quick trip from the city. Town close by for groceries, restaurants, other amenities, etc.
The beach is dirty, no activities for kids anymore, restaurant is closed and no general events for adults such as live music, like in the past, 30 minute pool limit and only 1 time per day. Overall terrible management, customers are being ignored. The only activity it seems park visitors can enjoy is sitting on their deck in the heat. I heard they hired a new manager, but they clearly don't know what they're doing and don't intend to fix issues or help clients. Very disappointed.
Goreski,s has been an amazing family park and was well run by the Goreski family for many years until sold to Parkridge There has been several management changes along with promises of up grades over this time The friendly family atmosphere along with the park infrastructure has been declining rapidly over the past 5 years, with power outages, boil water advisory, sewage back ups and stinky nights around the campfires. This is unecceptable for a Park that is charging $5k for a summer of weekend relaxation from mid May to mid October. Taking into account for Pandemic restrictions which is out of Parkridges control. We all have to understand that for now there will be restrictions on activities. But the Pandemic should not affect the people skills of the New Management. Season site residents are like a second family, we help each other when needed. We watch each other's trailers and in most cases build life long friendships. Really waiting to hear the explanation as to why this great family oriented park has turned into a concentration camp with a simple change of management. Kicked out at 5 o'clock pm on closing day Not allowed to check on own. or neighbors expensive property over the winter months. And with no winter security and full well knowing there has been winter break in over the winter months leaving trailer doors and windows open waiting for Racoons to move in. Funny as it may sound.... It has happened with 10s of thousands of dollars damage When asking the assistant manage, who is responsible for my property if it is broken into and not noticed until spring... His response was it is not his problem. This brings me back to people skills which the new Management have none... Extremely rude with a lack of concern for anything but there laid back relaxed job. Security in the summer was a joke with night security sitting in golf cart at front gate all night while kids are free to roam the park leaving there beer bottles in the park on the beach and in washrooms Will be taking to a lawyer about my rights to check on my property in a park with dozens of entry points from the surrounding woods and iced over lake. In 20yrs I have not had any problem with any Goreski campers.... Have had an amazing relationship with all park staff & management until now I will be waiting to see if my honest opinion will change anything, with my good standing relationship in this park for the past 20 years Rob
